Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
    Thanks for verifying my suspicion!

And I fixed the "problem" last night. Primer and resprayed the same red. Much different results.

Where in the world did you find them so cheap?? They are hard to find separate without the chrome trim. Nice find.

I cant believe how much better my truck runs since i changed the plugs yesterday. I also "recharged" my k&n after 2.5 years. two days ago i was running at 3k rpm at 70mph. Now im at 2500. I expect some gas mileage changes.

Mounted up my satoshi and hella's today. I'm an idiot when it comes to wiring, so all in all the mounting and getting them wired up took me a good few hours. But its finally done, and I'm very pleased with how it turned out!

Couldn't get a great picture in the sun, I'll take better ones eventually once I get my lift, wheels, and tires on there.

    Changed my transmission fluid

Naturally nothing ever goes smooth for me so here's my story regarding the fluid change:

Wrestled the fill plug off because my friend's shop checks all the fluids when they change my oil... but they use an impact wrench on the fill plugs. So naturally the head is getting rounded and it's on with maximum torque. Took everything I had to get that facker off. Fine. The drain plug comes off easy peasy. I drain the tranny fluid, plug it back up and go to fill it...

I bought this facking piece of turd nugget for a fluid pump:

After 3/4s of 1 quart of pumping the facking piece of worthless crap's innards exploded. Top of the pump breaks, the spring launches into my quart of gear oil, all the little pieces of plastic are in the gear oil too along with the tubing. I spent 30 minutes digging out all the pieces of crap and tried putting it back together again. Always fun when your hands and every part is lubed in gear oil... facking piece of crap.

So with only 3/4s of a quart in my tranny, I had to remove my center console, shifter trim, shifter boots, etc... and run some aquarium tubing (luckily had some laying around) down through the hole in the hump and into the fill hole of the transmission and gravity feed the gear oil into it.

Of course I kept checking to see if it was full and naturally didn't see it pouring over until too late.

Facking piece of crap mother FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU [IMG]

On that note... anyone have any recommendations for a fluid pump that doesn't suck ball schmeg?

When I worked at CSK Auto (a long time ago) people returned those things all the time.

For draining any fluid I use a vacuum pump, but for filling, I have always used gravity. I too would be interested if anyone else has a AWESOME pump for filling.

I have a dialysis pump (new) my friends dad is a technician on the machines. I attached 2 1/4" hoses and give it 12v and it pumps out the old. Then I flush it with 30 weight and put the new gear oil in my trans.

Funny you should mention syphon pumps. I saw one today that was just a squeeze ball with a line running out of both sides. Seemed like a much better idea than those shit heaps you and I have both been hoodwinked by.

I'm going to buy one of those bilge pump siphon things from Napa. $14.

Stick one end in the gear oil. Suck it out. Then stick the other end in the fill plug and squeeze it in. Simple design. I like it.
