I'd make the following conjecture:
america is broke, ...bad, ...we can't afford to help w/ all the global warming stuff, ...so i think we should defer all the studies and stuff to canada... if you need us, just holler, ...beer getting warm

i'm just trying to figure out what you are seeking from all of this?... do you understand that many folks are turned off by the topic altogether because the alarmists were (and still are) pushing for carbon-trading and taxing as a pretext to "climate research", etc... i.e. their credibility has been completely blown to bits, ...and the specters of fraud, corruption, deceit, and propaganda that have leaked certainly don't help things... it got so bad that some of the key alarmists came out to say, yeah, we were way overzealous w/ these predictions...

...the global warming/climate change ship has sailed, ...and crashed into the very iceberg it was trying to melt!

...if you can decouple the politics/fraud/deceit/corruption from the research, then you'll probably get more folks on board, ...but, given how the whole thing has been handled, ...that will be a hard sell...

Believers in catastrophic human caused global warming seek to convince others to join their government worshipping religion.

In contrast, it is only for me simply to remain an unconvinced "heathen".

Yes, Larry, we all know that's what they told us in high school. But we all know that isn't how it actually works, and that more money means more representation. Hence, we live in a defacto oligarchy of corporate influence that has far more access and sway on the laws that are or are not passed than any common citizen slogging away for a salary and going to the polls dutifully, but let's admit it, largely ineffectively in comparative terms to those who are wealthy enough to maintain standing armies of lobbyists and lawyers to shape the nation in their image.

 

It is an undisputable fact that I do not belong to a secular leftist religion that believes that the government will save us from the catastrophic man made global climate change that is occuring .
