fuck what a disappointment. Man it was tough seeing Boston roll over the Rangers and then Pittsburgh after that series was so close. Oh well its all learing I guess. After the Bruins blew the 3-0 series lead that year I dont think they were the same team. Seemed to really build a sense of how important the playoffs are

 

I hear ya. Off season changes always make September more interesting than it would otherwise be. I am quite curious to see how the Eriksson-Seguin trade turns out.

It was almost unbelievable. It reminded me of the Canucks-Bruins collapse of a few years ago.... It was like watching a large boulder rolling down a mountain.

yes, after that series elimination that Bruins team has not been the same. They are so focused and experienced you can tell it was a learning experience for them

Like a large boulder rolling down a hill, you could see it coming and you knew there was no stopping it. Both collapses were epic. In both cases, when the Bruins got rolling their momentum got stronger and stronger and their opponent appeared to wilt as the comeback got closer to fruition. I always find it impressive to watch. They produce games and series not easily forgotten.

 

K , but I'm not sure how you can compare allowing 3 goals in the last 5 minutes of a Game 7 to losing a 7 game series that went win , win , loss , loss , win , loss , loss

 

Yea they haven't been the same after. They won some shiny trophy the following year. Not sure where you're going with this. Another dead end like your "top 2 lines" according to the head coach who plays Orr more than he should?

 

I am not comparing statistics but rather the experience of watching an event unfold. One where the outcome is so clear, even before it manifests. That is all.
