2014 4Runner is Hideous!

Mine isn't either.

 

I traded a 2011 4Runner for my Taco. I liked the look of the '11, but I can't say the '14 does it for me. It looks like an angry largemouth bass. I wish they had left the appearance alone and focused on more important things like fixing the awful front end dive and twitchy steering.

 

I'm a bit late to the party, but I think "hideous " is strong. It does sort of look like a bulldog though.

 

What if you fiberglassed and painted to match the slits in the bumper to blend in.Probably looks better.

 

I didn't like the looks of the 2nd gen Tacoma either, thought they ruined it from the 1st gen. But now I like it. A lot.

 

Side looks better. Can't wait to see what trail model looks like.

wow that thing has a stache. im so glad i bought a 13. i will admit im gonna score me a set of the new led tails and the new trail wheels.

 

Interested in seing a Trail in Black, hopefully it'll mask some of the angles on the front

 

Totally agree. And unless they changed the package, it should still have black trim, black door handles, black Grill and black Side mirrors. It should have the hood skewp too but maybe that is available as a package in other models now.

 

^^ would look a lot better without that big ass chrome bar on the grille.

 

Maybe lose 18" wheels as well as chrome bar. Still a bad ass truck tho.

I really wanted to give the 2014 a chance, I think the red one might look decent if the center red bar was painted black instead of red. But geeze that thing is horrendous.

 

They certainly could have made everyone's lives easier by continuing the break in the front fender all the way around the front, thus making it easy to pull off all of that plastic garbage and installing a nice winch bumper.

 

I think that looks pretty bad ass.

The red one looks sick if the bottom lip was also red

 

They need to get rid of that damn chrome bar up front on that Limited. It'll look much better with out it.

I like some chrome, although its not a necessity to me. The chrome on the limited doesn't look right at all though, it doesn't look integrated into the design of the front end, instead it looks like an afterthought that they just tossed on.

The other two look good though.
