    True,

I mean if I could afford it I would have gotten a DCSB, but i know then you have all the etra crap I think I need,

My RC, being my third one always serves me very well.

I have placed a call into my dealer and left a message to see if I can put a deposit down on a 2014 RC Auto trans, and to see if they can legitimize the No RC for 2015... :(

2009 4WD Reg cab Taco. Keepin it simple.
So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Parts trucks ! I'll buy parts trucks. Ugh can't stand the thought of the RC Tacoma going away.

Has anyone seen any differences between the 2013-2014 models?

I am wondering if holding out for a 2014 is my best/smartest option?

Wouldn't be the first time, and won't be the last time both of those sources have been completely full of shit.

Pickuptrucks.com was one of the sources that reported an alliance with Ford and an Ecoboost for the 2014.

The first '14 won't be delivered for another month.
But Toyota has indicated no changes for the new model.

So... If you buy a '13 now, or you buy a '14 in September, the only difference will be in a year, you will have a 2013 with 15k on it, or a 2014 with 15k on it.

Chrysler has nothing special in the Hemi.
Hemis have been around forever, and they are now around in many engines other than Chrysler products.
Chrysler simply trademarked the "Hemi" name, but they did not design it and do not have a patent on the chamber shape.

it ain't even that much of a hemi shape anyway...only slightly less flat than most other combustion chambers...and the two plugs dead in the middle of the chamber too

No doubt the hemispherical chamber design is solid.
That's why more and more manufacturers are moving to it... your Tacoma has a "Hemi"

I'm just saying that Chrysler has nothing special in it. It is no more powerful than any other hemispherical head equipped engine of the same displacement.

Low end torque is a function of bore and stroke. A long stroke produces more low end torque. A shorter stroke moves the peak power up the band, and the reduced piston velocities allow for higher peak RPM.

    10-4,

I found one close but may wait for the 2014...

I am really wanting to get rid of my MT and find an Auto,

and especially now with the really bad noise from 5th gear on the freeway...

That's a newer thing for auto engines.
Motorcycles have run dual plugs on various designs for a long time... Kawasaki did it on the Vulcan 1500 in the late 90s.

But the legendary 426 Hemi of the 60s and 70s (including the Ford 429 SOHC) only had 8 plugs.

    Axle wrap.
    Traction bars will help that.

Bilstein 5100's up front at 2.5", bilstein 5100's in rear + Wheelers 3 leaf AAL and overload left in.

Add two 57" 2x8's, a sheet of 3/4" plywood on top, a 4" thick sleeper sofa mattress (perfect fit, holy crap), a few camping supplies and an enormous 100lb floor jack =

    You're 4x4?
Torque on the front end in 4wd can flex the tie rods and cause steering issues.
I've seen 4x4 Silverados launch and end up with the front wheels looking like /...\
