How many differnt ways to I have to provide the same information to you? And how many times must I prove that some arbitrary report you pull up is WRONG! INSTEAD, WHY DON'T YOU PROVE IT IS RIGHT!?!?!?! THAT'S HOW IT WORKS IN THIS COUNTRY!

I'm still getting lower rate offers from companies because of my credit?

 

They've gone from pencil-whipping no-doc loans 10 years ago to the other extreme of giving you daily proctological exams every single day of a 30-day escrow for information that has no bearing on your ability to pay off a loan. Guess what? I already have a full-time day job!

Jeanne and I are putting 30% down and both have 800+ FICOs and zero debt except my existing mortage and we are only borrowing 2/3 the amount we could safely qualify for at our income level and they are treating us like fucking drug smugglers at a border crossing.

 

1. You're in the armed services. Uncle Sam has deep pockets.
2. Eveyone advertises super low rates to get you hooked, but it doesn't mean you'll get them once they get the examinaiton gloves out.

 

I actually went through the BS before I decided to rent out here and wasn't going to use the VA loan. I would have had the 20% I needed... but I'm only going to be here 3-4 years . I don't want my house in KS anymore though. My renters/the house are beginning to be nightmares.

 

I thought long and hard about keeping my current place as a rental. After talking to many people who had, it was clear that it is generally considered a much larger pain in the ass than it is worth.

 

So it started with just one small thing (the wife). But it was before I left.

Then they ended up with mysterious "bites." There kids played in the yards and they didn't mow it for a while. They thought it was fleas which we NEVER had. So we paid for a sprayer to come and paid 175 out of pocket for it. Turns out it was what I told them it was the whole time, CHIGGERS. It was his fault they were in the house because he didn't mow the lawn.

Now, the house part. We had cut the wall open to fix the front faucet. Well, the plumber somehow cracked the exit pipe for the sub pump, and it rained 4-5 inches over one night. Well, all that water that was coming out of the crack and ruined a wall and got water on the carpet. My landlords... are out here until the 9th........ (another fact I'm not the most happy about)

The Feds assured me it would be expunged from my permanent record when I turned in Al Gore for falsely claiming he invented the internet and started makgin all those alarmist hockey stick graphs.
