I neverseized the ever living shit out of them! Seriously, the LCA's had silver handprints all over them after the first alignment

Apparently, you have to take them out every year and re-grease. I might give the SPC cams a shot and ditch the asshole setup that Toyota designed.

Yep, both sides, all 4 locations.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Point of curiosity: is a heavy high temp grease better than an anti seize compound? Maybe the anti seize breaks down easier/loses ability to repel water? Just spitballing ideas.

I guess so, but this is the stuff that's inside the bushings, I wouldn't have thought there was that much room for it to flush out but maybe. I'll redo it with marine grease. Hopefully I can break it free, I don't want to have to go through the cutting process again...

It was around May of last year so yeah, a little over a year.

that sucks. there is no way to break it free? my alignment took forever because they had to torch my alignment cams in order to adjust them. but it came out fine, and i havent had an issue since. that was when i first lifted my truck, and it hasnt needed another alignment... but my dealer wouldnt touch it with the lift, so im surprised you got a dealer to do yours, i tried three different ones...

You could go LR UCA's and adjust your camber with them

I'll try to break it free, I'm sure I'll go a little rougher than the dealership. I'm hoping if I bathe it in PB Blaster and torque on it every day, it'll eventually break itself free.

As far as the lift, I don't even tell the dealerships that it's lifted. Most of the service guys can't even tell or question it, the techs I'm sure know but I don't think they care. Everything, as far as an alignment is concerned, is still OEM. This is the third dealership that'd aligned the truck, none have made any comments about the lift.

    Thanks, I'll let you know!

True... I just need them to seize once they're properly aligned! Even with LR UCA's, you'd still need the lowers free to properly align the vehicle though, right?

thats not really true. your truck is lifted, there is nothing OEM about the alignment anymore. im just surprised they even tried.

Toyota aligns my truck with 3" of lift every time, no issue either

What do you mean? It still uses OEM cam tabs and tie rods, which is the only things they'd have to touch to do an alignment. So as far as the tech is concerned, it's just like aligning a stock Tacoma. If the springs and shocks weren't a different color, I'd wonder how many would even realize it's lifted since it's a short lift.

What's the antenna connection look like on these civilian radios? I wonder if they are compatible with military Sincgars/ACIPS antennas.

Damn property taxes. Somehow the property tax on my truck actually gets more expensive every year instead of cheaper. :frusty:

has to do with a fart
I use so much anti seize at work it's not even funny, the parts people thing im stealing it. But I like to be nice for future work that I or others may have to deal with. But If you want your rubber bushing to stay nice and new do you want a trade secret. My passenger side was frozen and replaced it. 3 months of winter it froze solid. Replaced both sunk them in di-electric grease. Now I know you (pugga) mike know electrical properties and the standard that this product has to pass. trust me those suckers will be golden. Last week Toyota just replaced them again from my oops, they commented on how smooth they where. or use a grease with Teflon in it I will post links for both products. I use both on bushings all the time. For the Teflon i reccomend PTFE Teflon from Motorcraft.

I'll have to check one out at radio shack. It looks like a similar adapter. A CB would have a good range with on of the giant whip antennas we use.
