What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Ha!, You guys are funny. I've been lurking for about a year since I got the truck that had a good start. The front end was done as a prerunner and I've been working towards the back kind of going expedition/camping.

Thanks for all the tips and advice and I'll get around to a build thread when I get time and figure out how.

Did several things, nothing too difficult.

Cut and fitted new bed mat

Painted an old trailer hitch ball mount for 1 7/8" hitch ball used with utility trailer (wire brushed, primed and top-coat)

Washed and vacuumed

Ordered a set of Duratracs!

Removed front plash guards in prep for new tires

 

Looks great. Do you have any rubbing on the cab mount? And what lift do you have? (and height)

Fixed overhead consol and washed bluTaco, including the door hinges and jams, a missed spot on the Elantra Touring last time and noted by my father, the only person I know that waxed the furnace!

 

Very nice ride!

 

Deaver's 2.25" Lift with the overload spring retained, GM polyfoam bump stoppers, and Fox 2.0 non piggyback remote reservoir 10" stroke shocks. Drives like a champ off road!

I fried terminal on vaca, decided to install a 12 fuse BS block, wanted to get rid of the rat's nest once and for all



First did all the relay-to-terminal wires







Six circuits worth of wiring grouped and zip-tied

Inspection + registration stickers.

 

My faux duel exhaust (what ever u wanna call not true exhaust. y pipe straight pipe then t'd into tail pipe above axle and shot one over to the driver side) that my and a buddy pieces together with spare old tail pipes finally rusted out enough to droop pretty bad. anyway I've drank enough koolaid to not have a tip so I cut a 4' piece of galv pipe welded a hanger on it and welded it to my glass pack. to tell the truth I kinda like it.

 

Put in the wiring for the 40" OKLED light bar that's going on the roof, just need USPS to get me the damn brackets silver07taco was kind enough to build me....

 

Had the blower motor replaced.

 

FINALLY installed my Escort ZR3 laser shifter that I've owned for like 5 years. Fronts only, transceivers installed on the outer mounting points on my nfab bar. I'll do the rear eventually, but I gotta cut a little slot in my license plate for it to fit, and that's effort.

After lunch, washed, clayed, polished out a few branch scrapes, and waxed. First time I've clayed anything. Didn't suck too bad. Can I reuse the same bar the next time I need to clay, or should I toss it and use a new one?

Finally cut the 4th hole in my bed liner for the right rear D-Ring.

Installed the ball mount for my Garmin Nuvi on my Panavise in-dash mount.
