I'll chime in here on this, this is based on my real world experience, not internet fan-boy opinions.
I have ran the Dakar's with and without the DX-59 Additional leaf, custom beefed up OEM and All Pro Expos. All of them ride about the same and flex pretty well.

Of the two choices you are looking into I will tell you the main differences I have observed. I have a hi clearance rear with gate etc so there is a bit of weight.

Ride height~ Dakar's/Expos, basically same

The main difference is flex and load handling. The Expos flex better than the Dakars, not a ton but more and they do it with a little more ease. The Dakar's get into the overloads and don't flex as freely.
The load handling is where I notice the biggest difference, this is pretty obvious which will handle better, the Dakar's have overloads, the Expos do not. When I am loaded down and towing my trailer (appx 3500lbs) the Dakar's feel pretty good. The Expos are very mushy feeling on the road.

I personally prefer the Expos for what I do, they don't do as well when towing but are better in the rocks etc so I am willing to take that trade off. I don't tow too often so its not a huge deal.

Just take into consideration what you intend to do with the truck and go with what fits best for you.

I'm wondering if I should take it off...I've heard negative things about those diff drops. Hmm...

 

That might explain why I'm experiencing vibrations at 58mph+

At first I thought it was the air circulating through the front bumper because its trimmed underneath so the tires don't rub

 

Is Rowher flats a go fast kinda place or slow dirt road type of place? Debating if I wanna bring the runner or tacoma.

 

Slower.

Mostly hill climbs. 4x4 needed, not LT.

 

Is a locker helpful? Or not that big of hill climbs?

 

Yeah, from what ive read here the diff drop doesnt do anything for 2nd gens. I dont have one and i havent seen any issues, yet.

If i hadnt been drinking since 2 i would totally come help. Next time do some work on the weekends so i know im free!

 

It helps, but I've been with plenty of people that dont have a locker.

I helped my neighbor install a diff drop a couple days ago...it definately helped

 

I would but I have to get this thing all dialed in before this coming Wednesday as I'm planning on driving it to Mammoth with my lady.

I'll be attempting to take the K&N Intake off tomorrow(Saturday) if you feel inclined to help with that... I have my mini-me this weekend though...so, no metal & beer while working on the truck :0/
Ya have to lead by example though.....that whole "do as I say not as I do" is no way to parent imo.

 

Oh yeah, does anyone have, know someone who has, or know where I can get a stock exhaust that will fit my 08 DCSB?
I'm not looking to spend a lot....I just want my exhaust a but quieter.

 

How much lift do you have in the front, rear, and do/did you have any vibrations at higher speeds?

 

Like 4 or 4.5 on the front and like 2 in the rear...no vibrations

 

That's because you were able to put thousands of dollars worth of high end aftermarket parts in your truck. I'd love for mine to sit that high and still be totally functional but, I'm not going to go long travel. I'm not sure if yours is 4x4 or not but, mine is...and I've heard that you shouldn't exceed 2.5" of lift in the front or you're asking for trouble.

 

Yes but before i had a 75 dollar aal and 700 dollar front lift and had no vibrations...check your carrier bearing and u joints. ..and if you have a block ditch it asap...

 

Still looking for 17" wheel. Anyone???
