So I have no idea what to do now... Checked the wiring with a voltage meter and everything is good, but now matter how hard I try, I can not get the motor off at all...

3 bolts just to remove the shield, 5 bolts total. I don't think pics would make a difference. Looks just like this.

Alright, the FSM is no use. Checked the actual diff on mine. Should be 3 holding the actuator to the diff (2 below, 1 upper) and 2 bolts for the shield.

If it ain't budging and you can't find anymore bolts, might be time to drop the 3rd and get it on a bench top.\\

Can you get a knife blade in the seem?

I think that's my only solution, which I can't do myself because I have no garage or tools to do that. Was really hoping not to have to pay somebody to do this.,,

Yes, but I have absolutely no clue what I'm doing when it comes to gears and stuff like that.

Meh. If it is already broken, time to learn.

Pulling a 3rd is fairly easy. You shouldn't have to mess with the gear setup.

    1. Undo e-brake at the drums
    2. Unbolt brake lines along the back axle.
    3. Unbolt the axles at the axle housing ends
    4. Unbolt the 3rd.
    5. With 2 other buddies, pull the axles out far enough to clear the 3rd
    6. Remove the 3rd.

After that, get it on a bench and you should be able to identify why the locking mechanism is stuck.

If the brake lines won't allow you to get the axles to clear the 3rd, unbolt the brake lines at the drum and pull the axles completely out of the housing. You'll just have to bleed the brakes after you put everything back together.

Get an FSM, Haynes or Chiltons and read up on how to do it.

I saw this stock Toyota so I had to park next to it and snap a pick to see the difference.

Picked up some angle steel to fix the skidplate mounts on the front bumper.
