It took me a long time to do this research. Hours and days of continuous searching. You can now find any and all available info about these rear Fox 2.0 shocks at this page, I posted a previous thread about this:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/287933-lifting-fox-2-0-wont-allow-more-come.html

    IMAG0222_zps13947506_3314103a3b082821cf5f2b404aa80f062e9f6170.jpg

Overload leaf retained, GM Silverado 98-06 poly-foam bumps set to 4.5" exactly, Fox 2.0 remote reservoir shocks with a 10" stroke...

This setup was something I had been concoting for a while and made these two threads prior to pulling the trigger and making the leap from stock:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/287933-lifting-fox-2-0-wont-allow-more-come.html

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/288285-super-bumps-size.html

    - After you have gathered everything, here's what it'll look like:

    IMAG0220_zps6594a853_de93c4002f5fc0ea556aa150b65754273f0dfc10.jpg

You will want to pick up a set of Fox 2.0 Remote reservoir shocks the hourglass bushings in the eyelet and sleeves inside will need to swapped out, they are a real pain in the ass to get off, part number for the shocks:

    980-24-636

    - It is my strong suggestion you put shock dust boots to cover up the shaft portion of the shocks, they will help protect and repel flying debris and crap form the road which can lead to damage of the shaft which will cause leaks and or rupture of the wiper seal. Zip tie just the top of the boot, leave the bottom zip-tieless to help promote keeping any crap from staying on the inside.

On to the individual part numbers, you will need a pack of these bushings:

    IMAG0231_zps65615d3b_bd57eb3cd207c3e45b234dd4978dc81779455140.jpg

and you will need to call a local GM dealer for the bump stops, they are part number:

    IMAG0230_zps74e83148_0468642ab10d14d9411d58cdde9ecd43321f80c7.jpg

I had to pick up several 1/2 washers for the bump stop from ace, I used 5 on each side which when measured spaces my stop out approximately .5" which sets my bump stops total height to 4.5". One thing to note is that the bump stoppers from GM do not include a nut, you will need to go to the hardware store to find out exactly which one fits it. I do not remember the size nut, but I picked up some slim profile nylock nuts.

Here's the size sleeves you will need for the bushing sleeves, the fox ones are 1/2" and that size is wrong, it needs to be swapped out to this apparently. It was all sent to me by ORW, gathering all the parts over the phone was no easy task, but no one ever said building something custom was easy!

    IMAG0232_zps578a87cf_a177deebc1cf98cc9db59e14c056223ca1548251.jpg

So you will need to either widen your shock mount point, or ground down the energy hourglass eyelet bushings and sleeves to a very thin degree in order for the shock to fit.

Deavers AAL leaf pack got me an additional 2.25" with the overload leafs retained:

    IMAG0229_zpse42e71d6_2835d82be669a507cea6201ffa7af470249d5072.jpg

    I didn't take a picture, but ORW sent me Deaver's AAL 3 Leaf P/N:

    F85

A couple things to note as a warning if you choose to run with this setup, make sure you have access to a bench grinder, a cutoff wheel, an airhammer, several large pry bars. You will need to grind off the rivet off of the closest leaf spring retainers on the stock setup of the leaf pack in order for this AAL to work. It's not meant for TSB springs and as a matter of fact the AAL is not even meant for 2nd gens  It's originally intended for first gen taco's and 99-06 Tundra's I believe. Compression and rebound is perfect with this setup. Handling is still pretty damn good. I can tell my center of gravity is different, but not a whole lot.

    - Two more things to note is that a U-bolt flip kit or longer U-bolts is highly advised, I am running my stock ones at the moment, they do engage, but there is no additional thread exposure past the nuts with the washers on them. It's a very tight fit, and it still works, but I will be changing these out in good time.

    - If you pick up 10" stroke shocks, given the amount of lift, plus the amount of additional droop you will have if the vehicle rear is ever off the ground on one portion, the brake lines will be a little tight, not with huge tension, but enough which is to the point of concern, either look into options for extended brake lines, or some sort of spacer plate, or something for brake line bracket which attaches to the driver side rear axle.

    - Strike point of the bumps was dead on the money, this pic is taken from one of the later posts when I went offroading... Can't even feel when it strikes :) just as intended.

    IMAG0233_zps60713f38_aa1bd1a2077ee3d9ca4112f180b8ad9fd17e572e.jpg

EDIT: Got the U-bolt flip kit from All Pro several months back. The extra 1/4" of height for the bump stop is much appreciated by the shocks. The increased surface strike area is also a nice thing to have too. This was taken right after offroading in the snow and dirt/mud, so it all looks like trash under there. Like a real truck should :D not that mall crawler poser crap.

Tell you the truth I havent had to hit them yet. They are progressive and many wheelers on pirate4x4 love them for jumping. The shocks have 6" of travel in them with the truck sitting on the ground, I have 3.5" of open travel before hitting the bumps which leaves me at roughly 2.5" of bump stop action. The bump stops themselves are 4" tall plus the washers which add half an inch of height. Compression to over 3/4 of the stop should be plenty for stopping potential under the most extreme circumstances I would or will take it to. The total height and allowable travel until bottoming the shock would compress them to the beginning of the third groove on the stop. The base of the bump stops is occupying about 1" out of 4" height that it is. By the time I get to that third groove, the stop will have handled plenty of of the compression and stop any more of it dead in it's tracks. I am about to go wheeeling locally and I am sure I will hit more then once so I will report back my findings as I add more to this thread :)

They are AMAZING!! They are like landing on pillows! They did not cause a hard bounce or rebound whateverand I could never tell I rode on them at all. The shocks absorbed bumps like a champ as well. Now to get super bumps for the front :)

Shit man I have military drill on Sunday, Damn it... Maybe we can go next week? I still have some final touches to do to the setup before I call it complete, U bolt flip kit, and front super bumps. But for now it rides LEGIT!

Stick to the polyfoam... The nitro bumpstops can and will leak eventually.. these are more maintenance free... I'm gonna try and make it to the BAMF day next week. Dude I can't wait to off-road again!!!!!!

Strike point is beautiful.. if you look closely, you will see it's hitting dead center of the leaf spring retaining bolt.. it's outlined from the dirt. I still need to do a u bolt flip, but I don't want to, lol I know I should.

I payed $31 and some change, total for both of them. They come fully assembled with a threaded stud already attached to it, and it may be removable, however, I didn't have the time nor patience to see if it would. The head holding the bump stop on the inside was round, which makes me think it's not really user friendly as far as removal goes.

Currently I am working on finding an alternative solution to the wheelers super bumps for the front bump stops. I am looking at using GM bump stops again. They call the "auxiliary springs." Excessive bumps that the shocks cannot handle these handle just marvelously, and for much cheaper then a full rear super bumps setup as well, even after purchasing fastening and shimming hardware from the hardware store. Don't get me wrong, for $50 they sure do give you a lot, but the thing is, they are so in demand they consistently run out of stock and a local option to pick up same day would make life a little less complicated, not to mention would be a little cheaper as well.

I was looking at front bump stops off a Hummer H3, but according to some chick in the parts dept. locally (she sounded like a real misinformed bitch) they felt like stiff plastic, but honestly why in the hell would they make the stops out of plastic?

No problem! If you need any help finding out info out I haven't posted for the bump stops on the rear setup let me know, I'll do my best to backtrack my memory.

One small footnote, the nylock nut I purchased to fasten the bump stops are a size 17 (the outer size of the nut). Since the stud of the stops come so close to the frame you will need to slot the hole you make a little to be able to work the nut in there, it will fit, as you can see in my pictures its a tight fit, but it's also a very secure fit. Make sure you have a good combination open/box end wrench to tighten it further.

One of these days I'm going to go wheeling again and I'll take a video of the leafs hitting the bump stops. 2.5" of compression sure is a lot of travel to attempt to compress on these stops. I'd like everyone and myself to know just how much these will collapse to until they send the leafs back downward.

Be sure to post pictures! I want this thread to get noticed so people know what options they have available to them if they are willing to put in some work. :)

Speaking of which I need to do the U-bolt flip myself, or at least get longer U-bolts.

Figured I'd bump this thread since i installed the GM bumps on my truck.

I've had the Allpro flip kit sitting in my garage for over 6 months but kept putting off the installation due to the fact i didnt want to spend 100+ on bumps for new ones and every time a used set did happen to come up for sale they were gone by the time i saw them.

I saw this thread and figured 30 bucks for bumps and a few more for some hardware to install i would give it a shot.

Here are the pics with TSB leaf pack and ICON 3 leaf AAL (overload just reinstalled) and 3* shims without bumps

    Now with bumps

Overall pretty easy to do, gonna go out tonight and flex them and see how they work...

Take some pictures of them flexed! Looks great! BTW, how much additional space are you gaining from that U-bolt flip kit plate? It looks pretty beefy, but in all reality I would suggest putting some washers on the bump stops. Well then again you may have the .5" on the plate itself already, I needed the washers for sure since I do not have the flip kit yet.

Take some measurements too to see how much shock travel you have til they bottom out, vs how much travel you have before the leafs hit the bumps. That should give you a good figure of how much you can collapse those suckers before you bottom out the shocks.

I have the 3 leaf AAL as well with the overload installed, but no shim. How large is that shim at the bottom and what would it make the total lift?
