What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Currently in the middle of installing my eibachs/5100s/dakars. Started 5 hours ago and I still haven't even managed to get the passenger side leafs off yet...and that's all I've done. 13 years of utah salt has done terrible terrible things to these bolts. The front bolt on the leafs is what's giving me the most trouble so far, got a long long way to go

I tried 18' and it just wouldn't work. Ran it from the ash try, along the drivers side floor trim, into the jack area, though the gromment, into the bed, and along the bed rail.

I ended up leaving me 3' jumper attached to the radio and the barrel connector is behind the driver side kick panel. Makes it really easy to tune though.

 

It's bad to run the CB coax along my power wire for my amp, right?

 

Just turn the radio off when transmitting. But even then I doubt it would mess with it unless you have the cb tweaked or amplified

 

Hey does the bed area get exhaust fumes after cutting the tailpipe? Concerned about having my dog in the back with a cap on.

 

I just rode in my bed home from the bay last weekend with my dog. My wife drove. I have my exhaust cut. Zero fumes but I only have a soft topper.

I ran the same course as you. A 3' extension like you have isn't a bad idea. Like your saying, easier to tune.

Its Transferable, or? That's Cool

 

Right now I have Yokohama geolander ats

 

Installed spacers. Fixed my rattling access window with a new metal wishbone from the redrum guy, modified it a wee bit

 

I like my Cooper Discoverer ATP's so far. Affordable too.

 

Repainted my 4WD logos on the rear mudflaps today.

 

Yeah it is. Both of my parents were in the Air Force. My dad stayed in an extra 3 years to reach the point where it can be transferred.

 

Bought a steering rack from rockauto back in may opened the box for the first time yesterday and its the wrong rack. Have call tomorrow and hope they will let me return it for the correct one. I haven't even taken it out of the box so it shouldn't be a problem.

 

I used an angle grinder to cut mine out. It made it a hell of a lot easier haha. Kind of tricky around the gas tank though. I tested my flexibility/steady hand on that one.
