I had a full complement of passengers yesterday on a trip to Baltimore for work so I took care to clean up my very well "lived-in" interior.
So happy with the leather! It cleans up like brand new even three years later.

 

You guys and your fancy leather seats.......

In all seriousness though, still comfortable while racing at MSR. Lol.

And that color combination boasts professional performance.

 

Going to re-install these finally...



Had to take them off the busted set. That 3M is not fun to remove.

I'll try to get to it tomorrow.

 

Craig, do you happen to remember a rough diameter of that rubber 90 degree elbow that comes with the snorkel?

 

I believe it is a 3"ID...

Piecing together everything to modify the volant air box. Wish I hadn't left all of my fiberglass supplies in a storage unit half way across the country

 

Are you getting a Safari? Why not go with the Airflow that is made for Tacoma's?

I just don't like the looks of the airflow. Plus, since I'm running an aftermarket intake, I'm having to do the same modification for either snorkel.

 

He already has the Safari... He's modifying the plumbing for it.

 

That makes two of us.

 

I actually don't have it just yet? i'll find out in the next couple of days if i'm staying in kansas or moving yet again to somewhere else next weekend. can't order it until i know what address to send it to. hopefully order it from cruiser outfitters tomorrow or tuesday.

 

Ah, that makes sense. I was looking in your build for pictures and I guess that's why.

I think the Airflow actually looks better because the elongated section doesn't run for 200 feet along the fender

my only guess is that the safari is routed on the exterior of the fender because the hilux must not have the room for plumbing along the inner fender well.


On another note.....Craig, i think i might need a homertaco special for the snorkel intake screen if you're up to making one

 

That's easy... I've made a couple, I even have a template for it!

Actually, I've only made them in the M2 and M0...

M2 is the old mesh that I had on my first satoshi - I've got a few scraps still around.
I made one in M0 for duckcmdr...
I think I did one more but I can't remember...

The only style that I don't think it would work on is the M3. I have no clue how you'd be able to attach it to the snorkel mouth?

Just let me know when your ready - they are pretty easy to make.

just tested it on a chopstick for ya, i think it'll hold your rings lol.

 

Pulled the mesh out of the snorkel today to hit it with some flat black & double check my measurements on my template.
