Anybody running 33 11.50's

I have a chance to possibly pick up some Nitto Trail Grapplers with 500 miles on them for a good price. I know I see most on here running 265 or 285 but haven't seen anyone running that size on here. Any pro or cons to these?

 

33x11.50 is essentially the same size as a 285/75/16 which plenty of people are running. Do you have a lift or after market wheels? If not you will need wheel spacers to clear the UCA's and you will have to cut away inner fenders as well as probably a cab mount chop to make them fit.

 

IM RUNNING A 33/12.50/17 WITH NO WHEEL SPACER HAD TO ADD A 1" LEVELIN KIT AND SOME MIROR FENDER TRIMING , THEN I ADD SOME THICKER BUMB STOPS FOR THE STEER ON THE LOWER A ARM . SO WHEN I TURN IT DONT RUB!!!!!!!
DO SOME OFF ROADING (DURING HUNTING) AND NO PROBLEMS

 

Yes I have the OME full 3" kit from Toytec. For now I was planning on using my stock wheels until I can upgrade them later on.

 

285's are like 10.5" ish wide, and i ran OEM wheels and wheel spacers with them with no problems (3.25" of lift up front)

 

I just wonder if how much of a difference that extra in in width would make a difference tho if the 285's are right at 10.5

 

you'll definitely need wheel spacers, maybe 1.5"

 

Where are you getting 10.5 from? All the calcs I use says it's closer to 11.2" wide, and physically taking a tape measure to my 285 km2s they measure almost 34" tall and are 11.5" wide with the truck's weight on them.

 

We're basically running the same setup, same year, didn't see if you had armor or not. The Nittos I have right now were 32.6" full tread (new), 275 width. No problems at all. They did rub on the plastic inside the fender well before I put on the plate bumper. Depending on what wheel you decide to buy and the backspacing and offset of that wheel, will depend on whether or not you'll need spacers as well as how much rub you'll develop. A lot of guys (with a true 33" tire) have to do a cab mount chop, trim/remove front mudflaps, and trim up the plastic in the fender.

The pro's: Sweet tires for a good price

The con's: Potential rub, lessened gas mileage, road noise

 

Well I really haven't measured it just going off guesstamation and what Toy Yoda said.

No bumper or armor. For now when I get them I plan on running the stock Offroad wheels. Future plans are FJ's or Pro Comp La Paz.
