Solid front/rear axels, short wheels base, and soft springs. yeah, the manuvers like that wont feel like the Tacoma.
Ive driven about 6 different Jeeps, from 2004 to 2013, and they have MUCH less bump steer (if any at all) than the Tacoma. As for "loose" and "Sloppy", they clearly arent cars, or a tight IFS truck with rack/pinion steering, but the tracking is dead on, no rattles, and turns as it should. Like I mentioned, the one you drove wasnt right.

Uhh yes it was buddy. Brand spankin new. All wranglers/solid axle jeeps feel the same. Guarantee you if I was to go drive another 2013, it would feel the same. Because it would also be brand new. The one I drove was "right". You're denying this why?

I guess its because Ive driven alot more trucks than you have, so I can more accurately tell what drives in what way. The Jeep does NOT drive like my Accord does. Doesnt stop as quickly, doesnt turn as sharp. However, the Accord cant go anywhere near some of the "roads" I take the Jeep.

Hahaha oh you've driven more vehicles than me? That means a lot! You must be all knowing.

Btw. I'm an automotive technician. And if you do the math, I drive at least 4-6 different vehicles everyday. Over the last 5 years, well that's thousands of different vehicles. So, unless you're a tech with more than 5 years of fulltime work, absolutely no way your driven more vehicles than I have. If you want to go there and have an online dick swinging contest, there you go.

My sure why you're still arguing about facts.

Like I said before. There is a difference between driving a vehicle around the block, and actually putting some miles on one.

I will definitely agree with you there. But being a tech, I have spent a lot of time in jeeps :p

If you are going to buy a utility trailer then you will be fine with the Jeep. I said the same thing when I bought my Grand Cherokee " I don't use the bed much". Well a year and a half later I traded it in on a Tacoma. I found it to be nothing but a pain in the rear not having a pickup around. Your needs may be different than mine however. If you go with Jeep you will like it though. Good luck.

I want a supercharged Range Rover Sport more than I want my next breath, but I know that I'll miss the bed of my truck after the first week.

Just remember you won't be getting toyota reliability and factor in resale value. It's a very nice looking jeep.

Wranglers hold the value just about as good as the Tacoma.

That would be the worst trade ever... Rovers reliability is probably the worst in the industry

I've had my JK 2dr 2011 for 2 years, and just added a Tacoma DCLB 4x4 a couple weeks ago. I love both, but I still feel more comfortable off-road with the short wheel base Jeep, although i'm sure I will get used to the Taco as well.
If I hadn't needed a bed for work I would have gotten a JKU for more space because I love my Jeep so much, but I don't regret getting the Taco one bit, I LOVE both.

This thread proves the point that Jeep Wranglers are an either love them or hate them vehicle. We have had many Jeeps and will still buy them in the future, my Taco serves its purpose also, great truck. If you hate the Jeep, you probably don't understand them or don't know the proper use of them. I see people all the time trying to race them and make maneuvers that are dangerous, that is just plain stupidity.

I think both vehicles would be a great choice. Jeeps are great, you cannot experience the outdoors in any other vehicle like you can in a jeep. Although tacomas have been renowned for their reliability and jeeps well let's say, I hope their new engine is what it's put out to be. More power better economic, can't ask for more.

Another note if you plan on lifting it or adding and accessories, both jeep and Toyota offer load of factory and aftermarket upgrades, so in that aspect you wouldn't be at a loss.

Resale value on either or would be the same, since you are looking at a Rubicon those will have a superior resale value to any other jeep.

My vote is the jeep. It's my favorite color by far and more room.
