    Hello!

I took a trip to Lake City, CO and thought I'd share a few pics. Many of you may know about the very scenic Alpine Loop Trail in the area. I have been going on vacation to this area every year for around 20 years starting when I was a kid.

The pics below are mostly from the lesser traveled (than the Apline Loop) areas in and around Hinsdale County.

4x4 recommended, due to some of the steeper inclines. Some areas are probably accessible with 2wd, but I spent a lot of time in 4L.

What to expect on the trails out there is high altitude, switchbacks, narrow trails, steep inclines and rent-a-jeeps with drivers that don't always know the rules.

This pics I took are some of the milder areas of the trails, in the tougher sections it was usually not an opportune time to take pics.

My GPS was giving around 12,300 to 12,900 elevation in some of the higher areas. The trail never quite got to 13k, but a little hiking and your there.

I didn't see any fishing spots. Damn, man, if you're gonna go up there at least find some brookies or cuts. ;)

It's awesome out there isn't it! I also didn't mind the highs in the 70's and lows in the high 40's.
