What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I have about 2.5" up front. I'm hoping that's all I'd have to trim. I just wish they would clear as easily as my 11.5's right now . The 32" BFGs (actually 31.7 plus they are worn down) just aren't looking big enough anymore...

 

Like I said I'm primarily on the street so the big sidewall issue wouldn't be a problem for me.

I love the km2's but they are $237 ea at my local discount tire. Mtr's are $225 and duratracs are $187. Between all of these I'm taking the mtr every time, just love the look of them but don't want to spend the extra $$ to only run them on the street. If I could sell my amp and subs I'd get them though..

Siping is the term for the little cuts in the tread blocks. They help to evacuate water from under the tire.

 

Do tires come siped or u have to get them done

 

I found somewhere online awhile back 33/12.5/15 km2s for $210 a tire

 

Typically on all terrains you have to get it done. It's usually $10 a tire or something like that.

It's the horizontal cuts in the tread to help move water out from under the tires. This helps in the prevention of hydroplaning.

 

Siping can either be done at the factory or by the place you get your tires.

The Falkons I put on my Honda were not siped, so I paid extra and had them siped before install.

The Coopers on my Taco came factory siped.

Every little bit to help during the rainy season here in Oregon is a plus as far as I'm concerned.

 

Anybody ever ran Dunlop mud rover or Yokohama geolander mts

Is it safe to use brake cleaner on my MAF? I know they make a MAF cleaner but I have brake cleaner on hand and wouldn't have to make a trip to the store.

 

Don't risk it, just wait until you have MAF cleaner.

 

installed a URD short shifter and a BAMF BPV bracket today, the difference is amazing!

 

What difference did you notice when you but the BPV relocate on?

 

I could tell my rear brakes were doing more when i was stopping, especially stopping quickly

 

Did the 2 low mod, but i need a good way to seal it, but it need to be reversible, I was thinking Saran Wrap and black tape?

 

I think my entire tire is siped and not just the sides...I'll have to look again lol
