I know it has been months since I was last on here, but Im wondering how many of you have done anything to your brakes? If you have what did you do?

I know some upgrade the parts with stronger ones and I would like to do the same but haven't done too much research into the said parts

Most of your braking is done by the front brakes, so how does keeping the back ones adjusted stop you fine?

I am thinking with the weight I keep adding I might try some slotted and cross drilled rotors with pads next go round up front. Been monitoring EBC products for a bit now.

Im changing to slotted cross drilled up front cause of the weight I have been adding and will add, and now a 17 year old drives it a bit, and Im going to get a trailer. I found some nice powerstop Heavy Duty truck and tow for cheap on partstrain.com, they come with pads too.

Well I will try these and see how they do, less then $200.00 for the front set with pads, that includes shipping too. If they suck I will let everyone know and change to something else.

Nice man. I've got some friends that live over there. Seems like nice neighborhood other than being a ways from Loveland & Fort Collins. Plenty of stuff out at Centerra though. Quick access to I25 which is nice too. Takes us about 15min to get to I25 from where we are and that sucks sometimes.

Yeah we like the fast access to the highway. Being that we both still work in the north metro area. Looks like a nice community. How far from that area is you house?

I think I'm eventually just go to discs on my back brakes. Ever since my seals leaked my rear ones suck no matter what I do.

I have the Tundra front brake upgrade. Everyone else has amazing results but mine is still crappy for some unknown reason. Feels like I'm on ice when I brake hard lol

brakes are precisely engineered parts that should not be "upgraded" the way most people upgrade to the larger caliper from similar model. the bias is all messed up because the master and slave cylinder dont match the caliper or the weight it was designed to work with. upgrading pads and steel lines should be all anyone needs, slotted and drilled rotors work to cool the rotor more quickly and not overheat the system maybe if you tow or come down from the mts a lot i would understand. It should also be noted that upgraded pads often only work better at those higher temps and must be brought up to temp to work. coming from a turbo rwd coupe with all sorts of things done ive felt upgraded pads not work in cold weather in Alabama and caution anyone to use them here in the winter time

Thanks.... there's a place here that rents Badfish. I'm stoked to find out that Jackson kayaks has a SUP...may try to rent that as well. I don't have crossbars on the X3 to haul a hard board tho so we may do the inflatables when JT comes in 2 weekends from now. Don't feel like dropping $450-500 to outfit the Bimmer for now.

That could be 15 mins to I 25 by ft Collins. Could be 15 mins riding one of Aaron's goats to the highway. No one like a smart ass. :p

Yeah a few other good brands rave sports makes the hibiscus it's a nice inflatable. Amity makes a sick bamboo one they are price though. Rogue makes and all water board that is nice. My buddy has one from Costco that is inflatable and it's the best priced on for the money you get a paddle, and inflatable board, a pump, and a carting bag. It did grew for him on the river but he is only like 175lbs. It does good for me on the lakes but was not the most buoyant for me on the river.
