Generally speaking, women who hyphenate their last names are going to be pretty darn annoying people. Take your husband's name or keep your own if you really object to the whole patriarchal lineage thing, but don't be pretentious.

Just signed up for Texas Tacos out of curiosity, her posts already have me regretting it a bit.

Ah. The "hippy" in your statement makes sense now. Not all of us are hippies or hipsters...

No need to get personal :(

I remember when cooking a meal was still fun... Sense of satisfaction from grocery shopping and such...

Wife's at her sister's. I had cheez-its for dinner. Might go heat up some leftover mac and cheese. Not cooking if I don't have to. Getting older sucks.

Nothing personal, per se... Just an observation that people who do a certain thing seem to have a tendency to exhibit a certain personality trait. I'm sure women exist who hyphenate their last names but aren't pretentious - I just don't think I've ever met one.

It's like wearing your pants around your ankles - it's generally safe to assume anyone doing it is a dumbass. If you're not a dumbass and don't want people to assume you are until proven otherwise, don't wear your pants around your ankles.

And before someone starts hollering about the latter example, the most laughable example of such a dumbass I've ever seen was a white guy with a wife beater tucked into his tightie whities and his jeans halfway down his thighs. Was hanging around outside a convenience store up near Huntsville during the Rita evacuation. People make me sad sometimes...

Don't let it dry with the tape on!!! Peel it off when it's still wet and you'll get clean lines.

Yeah, I messed up the first time and let it dry for like an hour. Next time I sprayed it and let it set for a few minutes after I finished my last coat. Then peeled it off and had zero problems.
