I'm thinking about getting a compressor/tank setup, and I wanna know what y'all have.

So here we go, post up all your ideas and experiences on which compressors are best and how you've mounted everything. :)

How loud are most of those compressors? It seems to me that you wouldn't want them in the cab.

I got a mini 12v compressor from Canadian Tire for 5 bucks. I've had it for 4 years and it's never done me wrong. All I know it's take a shit load of time to do my tires. It's already paid for itself, I ain't paying for air at a gas station. Yes! Gas stations are now charging for air.

I've got a Viair setup it's 100% duty cycle into a 4 gallon tank. This is my compressor I've always had it inside the truck away from the elements

    my air tank

I moved it inside closer to the compressor to make fill time quicker I had it mounted in my box before

Invest in a good compressor I went through 4 cheap ones before upgrading

What size tank is the one you have? I like how it fits in the compartment, and seems to be less permanent.

What do you guys use your compressor for? I have a 20 lb co2 tank that I use for air tools and tires.

What model compressor is that? Does it get hot being in tat compartment running? Curious if it will melt the plastic if ran for a bit.

It's a 1.5 gallon. Fits perfect in that compartment and you can run the airlines and powers wires through the back for a clean install

It's a viar 120psi air compressor. Haven't noticed it get to hot, it has a safety for when it gets to hot it automatically turns off so idk if it will get hot enough to melt the plastic.

I got it running my train horn and have an air hose attached to fill up my tires.
