Okay, now that's just scary. A 460 would probably rip that little thing in half...or at least roll the truck over when you rev it up. To be honest, and I'm not saying it can't be done, but...I'm not sure those have enough room in the engine bay for a big block. I've seen them with 302s and they're pretty tight. Maybe get a 3.8L V6 and build it up?

How about the TTB? Were you going to change that?

Won't be in town. Was just wondering if it was the larger one that's usually in October since I'll be down for the first week of the month.

 

Im already looking at doing a sas just not sure if a wanna shorten a Dana 44 or put a jeep or yota front end under it and ill probably end up doing a 302 with a mild cam and headers that'll be plenty of power for the little b2

I think the diff is on the wrong side for a Yota and CJ-type front end. YJs had the diff on the correct side, but they had the ADD system so they'd probably be a PITA to convert to manual hubs. Not sure about the TJs. Why not just run the full-width D44 and put a 14 bolt Corporate or D60 in the rear?

That said, I think I still have an LSD carrier for an 8.8 inch rear out of a 5.slow Mustang sitting up in the utility room. It's a little chewed up from where the pinion gear gnawed on it when the pinion bearing failed, but I think it's still useable. I could be convinced to part with it fairly cheaply if you're interested.

K. Probably can't go wrong with a 9 inch. In fact, maybe you can get the front axle out of an old box Bronco. Dunno how hard that would be to find though.

 

I just sold a Dana 44 and 9 inch about three months ago if I would of none I was getting another b2 I would've kept them

 

I hate it when that happens.

Anyway, since I mentioned the LSD carrier, I also have a NP205 gear driven divorced T-case collecting dust in the shed. If anyone is interested in that, let me know.

Been thinking about it but I work in Tampa & get off at 3:30 so I would have to drive to clearwater just to turn around & drive back to Tampa in rush hr traffic.

 

I could meet up with you somewhere near the taco place if there is anywhere to wheel over there. I will be south o Tampa so if I head up early it would be ok with me to miss the traffic.

 

I don't know of any places to wheel in Tampa but let me see what I can work out as far as making it to California Tacos & I'll let you know.

Not exactly legal, but I pm'd you a spot not too far from the taco place.

I wouldn't go with more than 3 or 4 trucks at the most. If your meet is going to be bigger please don't use this spot.
