    Hey all,

I was looking at buying these replacement front lights so I could have HID lighting on my truck. It looks nice, no major modifications, and everything is prewired...
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...20433682626&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:MOTORS:1123

I asked the seller, just to make sure, if these would fit on my 09. He responded (pasted below), saying they would not. I was surprised to hear that considering I didn't think there were hardly any physical changes to Tacomas from 05 to present. The spelling and grammatical errors didn't give me a warm fuzzy on his answer either. Can anyone verify if the lighting assemblies are different on my 09 than any other year... physically, electrically, etc??

    Hi,

We are very sorry for the inconvinience. SInce your vehicle is 09 we highly recommend that this item will not fit your vehicle. Once again we apoligize for the inconvenience.
    Thank you

    Sincerely,
    Speedinfiniti

That's what I thought... thanks for the reply. I'm not sure I want to buy from them now anyway, since they don't know jack about what they're even selling.

While I don't know the technical aspects of this and I'm sure the seller is more knowledgeable about their product than I am, I just wanted to chime in and say that I put 2007 headlights (BHLM) in my 2009 and the guy who bought my 2009's put them in his older truck. Neither of us has/had any issues. Aside from finagling the light in there physically, which was kind of difficult (not because it didn't fit, just the WAY it fit) everything else was a easy-peasy. For what it's worth.

That is very good to know! I didn't think there would've been a problem. Only difference between my lights and older models' is that mine have a smoked look. Structure-wise, I see no difference.
