Meh, I hate leather, but have to agree with the DCLB FTW! Great choice OP, throw a locker in the rear and you've got all the desired options for our trucks.

Offroad FTW...I don't like the fake scoop. However I do like the color matched grill, bumper and mirrors.

Off road is OK but in retrospect I wish I would have bought an access cab since I never haul anybody with me and I just leave the back seat folded down anymore

I've had my truck a week and I love my off road package. I'm not one that will be doing crazy off road stuff but its comfortable on the trail roads for sure. I was actually shocked.

I went with the off road because of the locker. I used to have a trd sport and the "trac" system didn't even do anything. I would stick my head out of the window and watch my one tire on each end of the truck not moving while stuck in mud or snow.

I now have a locker and "a-trac" with the off road. Sure I could have bought an sr5 or a trd sport and put my own rear locker in. But then I would have to spend more money and time and pay a shop to install a rear locker, and would still be left without a-trac. I still have to pay to have a front locker installed but I can replace the suspension myself, both of which I would have done no matter which truck I chose.

I also use my truck off road, in case you hadn't guessed :D.

I don't understand peoples draw to heated seats. I had heated leather seats in my old tacoma and I never used them. Same with the Volkswagen Jetta I don't use them. Here's how they work in a typical winter drive to work:

    1. Get in the vehicle and start it, heated seats are turned on, scrape snow off windows.
    2. Get in and start driving to work.
    3. 5 minutes later the vehicle is fully warmed up from the heater/defroster vents and you're starting to wish you'd warn less clothing for your drive to work.
    4. 10 minutes have passed and all of a sudden you realize your seat heater has kicked in and your ass is on fire.
    5. Turn off heated seat for the rest of the day.

Lol. Sorry about the rant... I'm working nights...

The ones in my wife's Golf are hot almost instantly

I would be happy with some heated mirrors though

I would get a TRD. The seats look way better and you'll get the color matching with the Sport or a locking rear diff with the Off Road. If you drive in really deep snow, like over a foot and a half, the locking diff would probably be nice but if you know how to drive in snow, the 4wd drive with open diffs would be enough. That being said, I haven't had the chance to drive the Taco in snow since I moved from WI to AZ.

I had a Sport until a 16 year old girl hit and totaled it, now I have an OR. I don't miss the skewp. All it did was reflect the light right in my face.

If memory serves, TRAC isn't meant for getting you out of mud or snow, it's meant for preventing slides and other such loss of traction at-speed.

I don't want leather because it will just get torn to shreds from when me and my friends and in the truck with all of our fishing gear haha. And I read on the toyota website that the sport comes with cloth heated seats.

I had heated seats in my old jeep GC. Rarely got used but when wanted they were nice, but it took them 5-10 min to heat up your butt/back. I've got the sport as I have never really needed a locking rear...it's about as much as I needed heated seats...having 4x4 is enough for me.
