Long Travel BS Thread

Uca were rubbing towards the back, we had to grind the coil bucket to fit, lca weren't bad except engage doesn't come sleeves for lca so had to cut some out. Lca shock tabs are so off, haven't fixed at problem yet

Are there 4x4 spindles any good? I was really close to buying some, maybe i'll just wait to get some dirt designs?

 

i never knew you actually had a lt kit out till now. do you ever have sales on tw? doing the uniball lower anytime soon? anybody on tw rocking your kit?

 

Yup...haha i have had to install mine twice too...its crazy hard to get the lca to fit in...i also had to cut the spacers....oh and the no crush sleeve thing worked for one offroad trip...yeah it needs a crush sleeve...

Because of stalking this thread I couldn't just enjoy the video...I had to just look at the bump steer the whole time

I have been trying to contact bob for about a year now about being a vendor and he has never even responded.

I do offer a TW discount to people that contact me via here. I don't have any plans of doing a uniball lower on the std LT kit, it requires too much work to make them work on these platforms, and I rather keep it at a price point that is with the rest of the market.

I do offer a race kit for the 1st gen platform though which is what Jason is running on his Tacoma, he has been having good luck with it so far. It is uniball upper and lower and uses all the factory hub, bearings, and brakes.

Currently Jason is the only person on TW running one of my kits.

 

If I was in Nevada, I would have bought your 2nd Gen kit. Such a piece of art. Nothing wrong with my LSK prototype kit though. Haha

 

Ya, that's what makes it tough is the fact I'm in Nevada. California people are afraid of other states. LOL.

 

Haha. So as far as travel numbers with that kit, what is it pulling for a 2wd? 14"-15"?

 

We need to plan a trip there! Also looks like I need to bring 50 extra spares too

 

Yup, there really isn't any secrets to get much more travel than any other kit the same width. The rake on the upper arms make large travel numbers hard on Toyotas.

Jasons race kit on the first gen cycles like 28" metal to metal, but it only has an honest 20" that is usuable, anything over that the uniballs bind up when the steering is turned and that isn't really usable travel to me.

Almost impossible to gain access these days, the guys from Mad Media were camped out there for a few days shooting and stayed in one of the abandoned houses and with polaris backing the video I'm sure they paid something crazy to be out there and build some of the spots they did.

But I'm still down to try to go check it out
