Double cab all the way. I wanted the extra room for road trips. Never considered the access cab.

I've had an access cab 89 Toyota pick up and an access cab 2001 Tundra. I love the space of the DC Tacoma and the convenience of the extra set of doors.

I had an access cab for 10 years. It was great, but in the end I needed more room. Plus the 4 doors make it so much easier on my wife and I with the dogs.

I looked at the AC and laughed at the thought of my 6' 2" son and my plus sized coworkers sitting back there. The DBLB would be a total pain in the backside parking in the downtown structures where I work. For that matter the DCSB requires some planning too.

On a recent trip by folding the rear seats down the DC made it super simple to keep our stuff out of the weather and locked up, while at the same time allowing easy access. The DCSB was the only way for me to go and so far I'm loving it.

So stoked on the access cab. It's a bitch if your in the back seat or plan on driving people around but If you think of it as a single cab with a lot of room behind the seats it's nice.

Even if I didn't have 4 kids I'd want the DC....more space for my junk.

I love my AC, but really I feel it's relative to your situation. If you're single, no kids, just girlfriend or friends, then the AC I feel is a better fit. If you're married and have kids and don't have another vehicle (Minivan or SUV or Sedan) then I feel the DC would be the right fit. To be honest, I really don't keep that much crap in my truck. Underneath the bench seat in the back is little cubbies I keep a small med bag (being a corpsman and all) and few tools and such, other than that, I like my truck to be clean and as spacious as possible, for being an AC. Plus, it looks so much better. Just my opinion.

I have the double cab & do not regret one bit getting it, it has plenty of space for 5-6 passengers. It all depends on how many ppl you need to carry around & I have four so the double cab suits me well!

Looked at an AC and DC. Got the DC so my dog can ride in the back seat.

I have an 09 AC long bed...
    Problems with the AC:
1..Space for people (short trips only)
2..Opening the rear AC doors in a parking lot with another car or truck next to you is impossible to get stuff out of the rear seat... Both doors need to be open at the same time and you find yourself in the way of the doors
    Good about an AC:
1.. Long box avail with the manual
    2.. Looks good
    3.. Sub woofer
4.. You can reach the rear window from the front

I don't have a need for a back seat often, but when I do, the AC doesn't cut it.. If I was to buy another Tacoma. I would buy the long box 4 door, as the short box is too small for any real hauling, and the 4 door is more versatile.

This. To me the whole point of getting a taco is to have a pickup truck. The bed on a DCSB is barely usable. If I were that worried about room for passengers I would have bought a 4-Runner instead.

All Pro u-bolt flip kit, TJM Compressor (permanently mounted), Custom rack for the RTT over the bed, Tepui Kukenam RTT, Toyota Bed Mat, Cobra 75 WX ST CB Radio, and a lot of gear behind the seats.
    Exactly!
You buy a truck for the largest load you will haul/pull not the average.

I'm so glad I didn't buy an AC OR, I love the 4doors and real seats.
