Guy ran LR UCAs on truck for a few months. Didn't wheel hard or anything. Noticed the crack, thought it was just a crack. Took it apart to replace and that's when the end fell apart. It was only being held in place by pressure

I got ya... Welllllll.... we also have an entry level Bilstein kit for $899.00 same concept but bilstein 5100s all round and our b/j ucas that use the existing factory ball joints. Lift is about 2.5" as well but the wheel travel is stock.

Found out that the King's are standard travel. I'm assuming that would mean there is less of a reason to use a uniball UCA and LR UCA's would be just fine.

Kings standard off the shelf shock that you would buy from anyone else are standard travel yes, but we have extended travel versions.
From what we have seen, I would not suggest a LR arm.. If you want to keep the cost down, run the Camburg ball joint arms, quality part and a affordable price.

Well, going with the OME/LR again. When it comes to longevity and the zero maintenance involved, it won out over a more temperamental coilover set-up.

    DSM here I come...

    Malls everywhere be wary...
