What should I use to restore my wheel wells and exposed frame? I've read up on fluid film but I'm not completely sold on it.

X2. I have been using that stuff for the last few years. It works great and smells good, too!

 

Scotchgard would work for fabric seats.

Not sure if your dealer (assuming you bought a new 2013 Tacoma like I did) told you. But the seats already have scotch guard on them. Mine seem to be holding up pretty well. I have two German Shepherds that love to slobber, and still not a stain on any of the seats.

If you have OCD like I do with your seats; I would recommend ordering some custom made seat covers. They ran me ~$400 for the whole truck (double cab).

 

hey I was curious to see if you had a specific write up on the best or "proper" way to touch up rock chips scratches and other things that may happen to our paint?

Hey does anyone know what the best way to fill or buff or scratches. My stupid dog jumped on my hood and scratched the crap out of it. had it for 8 month with no scratched and the stupid mutt shredsbthe hood on 2013 metallic grey truck. Fack

 

I have heard dr. Color chip works well for small chips, stay away from the touch up paint pens that duplicolor makes

 

I painted a grill with color match paint from automotivetouchup.com, and sprayed it with 2k clear in a can, it came out 100 times better than using duplicolor colormatch and their clear, i am hoping i can get my paint job to look like factory, or like a profesionally sprayed finish. My question to the experts is how long should i wait to cut and polish? I did 5 coats of clear over 7 coats of base (overkill?) 2 weeks ago and i am itching to polish it. It looks amazing so far, but i want the paint to look like a mirror so it needs a little more work. After the catalyst is mixed in the can it is no good after 48 hours if that helps. If it is cured enough to cut and polish, maybe another 2 weeks before wax?

So my friend picked up his brother last week and his brother was sitting on a stump. Now he has sap on his seats.

Any ideas to clean that off that won't discolor the fabric? It's a Scion tC, black cloth.

 

tips for getting dog hair out of wet okeles? We have a husky and german shepherd, the husky hair is so thick and coarse that it somehow embeds itself into the seat covers (as in it gets looped in under the material). we have a pretty good vacuum that works wonders without the WO's but with the amount of dirt they drag in and out losing them is not an option.

 

Anyone know if plastidip overspray can be permanent? Just did my side badges and noticed some on the door and side panels. Took out as much as I could with a quick detailer. Dont have any bug and tar remover, and plan to do a full clay, wash and wax next weekend. Since I'll be busy the whole week. Hopefully the clay bar step can get rid of it. Just paranoid that it'll bond in the week it's left on. Any intel would be helpful. Thanks.

 

Don't think it is permanant.. Google plastidipping whole car, and you peel it off if you wanted. That's why people plastidip instead of painting sometimes..
So I would try peeling it before you put anything else on it.
