That reminds me that I need to pay my tuition bill this week. Another $5000 poorer.
Or should I buy a diesel powered welder and head to North Dakota...

Lol I would only do it for a year or 2. My cousin wants me to go weld with him. He is an independent contractor and makes $50/hr plus overtime and all that good shit. I could pile up a couple hundred grand, then go back to school and get a bunch of hookers and blow.

This, think long term. I don't make a killing but my insurance is paid for, for my self I just pay my family, my retirement is awesome, I don't have to pay into social security because of my job. We have FPPA, the long term goals change when you have kids for sure.

I like welding but I probably wouldn't choose it as a career. You would wear your body out way too early with all the lifting and stuff. I'll do it recreationally for the rest of my life, but being an engineer is my top priority.

The sooner you think about it the better your retirement will be though. Think about all the toys you can have in your later days too.

But your kids will have it. I still do extreme sports. I'm not saying dont have fun. I've been on life support, still DH mtn bike, I'm on a white water team, backcountry ski and snow board, ride dirt bikes, hell I rolled my last runner wheeling 2 years ago haha. But I'm putting money away for my daughter.
