10 years ago, I was looking to buy a 883 Sporty. The salesman pulled that "girls bike" shit on me. I left and bought a Honda.

That's ridiculous. A salesman shouldn't do that, for one, a sale is a sale and on top of that, he should know that the sportster is an awesome all around bike. Most of the guys that work at my local Harley store ride sportsters, which makes it awesome when i have a problem with mine lol. Mine is the solid motor mount 1200 and I wouldn't trade it for anything. When I first bought mine and it was still a bone stock 1200 custom, people would ask what it is and when I told them they would say, "isn't that a girls bike?" All I said was, "give me a few months to do a couple things to it and they would be wanting to buy the bike from me." Sure enough, a little over a year later, I can't pull up to a gas station without someone asking about it or if I want to sell it. I even get comments in traffic and at red lights.

My 1200C was decked out with all the chrome Steve Wynn's brother could hang on it, and a stage 1 kit. That sucker was fast.
But I only kept it for a few weeks, before I test rode a Victory Kingpin. Then it was all over for me and Harleys. Besides, I've had that poster on my Facebook page for years..

I tell people this all the time. Ride a Victory and you will see why I have one. The 883 is usually looked at as a "girl" bike due to it's size and motor. The 1200's are fast but you still look like a monkey F*****G a football if you are an averaged sized guy. Nothing wrong with these style bikes if it is your style. Like southern did to his you can make a bad ass looking bobber out of them.

My first Victory was a 2012 Vegas 8 ball. The one I have now is a 2013 Cross country in sunset red. You are correct about Polaris making them. Polaris also makes the new Indian bikes too.

Most people who buy their first Victory will buy another. I'm on my third now, and only thinking which one I want next.

x2, I just saw the track version of the 675 at Sturgis this past weekend and I think it's in consideration for my next bike, glad to see some American stuff in the sportbike scene.

We saw the new Indian get unveiled too, looks exactly like the ones from the '40s haha
