Sooo still no truck. ..they had to replace whole drive shaft?!?!?!

 

You need a solid carrier bearing and a slip yoke in the back half... I pulled out my carrier bearing with only 3" of lift, took it to the dealer and they wanted a G to put a brand new shaft and bearing in. But obviously that wouldn't fix anything so I bought the wookie strength carrier bearing, link in my build, and took it to a DS shop and paid them 140 to add a slip yoke, install the bearing and balance the whole thing. No no problems

 

No wheel drive...prerunner problems

Apparently there was a tsb if consumer complains of driveshaft noise to replace the whole thing

 

I fixed my ds issues w/ a 1-piece double cardan. 1st gen's actually have one from the factory. They cheaped out on the 2nd's

 

Hey got a problem. Just got my tires rebalanced and rotated (truck had no issues going in).

When I drove it off the lot, noticed a swich (chsh... chsh... chsh...) sound coming from the passenger front tire. Its a regular sound that increases with speed. No sound at low speed (0-5mph).
I thought it might be the brake dust sheild scraping the rotors but they looked good.

I had to tighten the spacer lugs so while I had the tires off, I inpected everything. No sound when I rotated the tires by hand (truck jacked up).

Could this be a bearing going bad?

Alright guys really need to sell both of my guns.

Wasr-10 AK-47. Bought used I haven't shot it at all. Wood stock. Two mags and bayonet included. $675.

Remington R-15 chambered in .223. Realtree Max-1 camo. Full stock and free float barrel. Hunting type rifle rather than a carbine. Shot less than 500 times. Comes with 5 round mag, 3 point sling, case big enough to hold gun with scope attached, and Nikko Stirling 6-24x44 scope. Kills me to sell at this price but it hasn't moved in 7 months so $1200.

i think they would have been fine had they had snorkels...

 

Maybe change that tar to the back and retest? If noise follows tire then probably bad balance job. Sometimes retreads are tricky cause they got to be done dynamically? If sound stays put then at least you know its drivetrain and not tar.

In the involved vehicles, screws that attach the seat belt pre-tensioner to the seat belt retractor within the seat belt assembly for the driver and front passenger can become loose over time due to repeatedly and forcefully closing the access door. If the screws loosen completely, the seat belt pre-tensioner and the retractor spring cover could detach from the seat belt retractor, which can affect retractor and pre-tensioner performance.

Owners of vehicles subject to this recall will receive a notification by first class mail.
