Anyone know any good backpacking spots up the boulder canyon? My bro and I are going this sat and sun night and don't want to drive too far but still have a destination like a lake or mtn to summit. Might just go up into the rawah range, but the approaches to most of the cool spots are so far that we wouldn't get up to the desired site the first day. RMNP is cool, but i don't want to pay for a pass.
    Ideas?

You could backpack up to Woodland lake or King lake and fish, just did that a week ago... Its right up past Ned. near the back side of Eldora. Nice place.

X2 go up that way. I'd say go park by the moffat tunnel and you can hike up past Yankee Doodle, Jenny lake, forest lakes. You can spend days out there having a blast.

I was up there this weekend, hiked up from the tunnel, originally trying to go to Arapaho, but could find the spur. Found out from the FS later that day that it is "closed".

got into the truck this morning and my shifter knob felt loose, when i tighten it back up its angled away from center!!!!! DAMN IT, that is going to drive me nuts because to have it tight its probably 5 to 10 degrees off. Warrenty replacement knob? anyone know if thats possible?

Locktite wont change how the threads sit inside the knob though, correct? because now when its tight it sits angled so it seems like the thread insert spun slightly

Take knob off and put small shim on top of rod?

Tape the hell out of the threads with teflon tape?

Keep spinning clockwise past tight until it's where you want it?

Make your own custom knob out of a fighter jet control stick, wire up all the buttons to the radio and lights and stuff and take a bunch of pictures and post up a write-up on it?

This is the only reasonable solution. Looking forward to the write-up! :D

Top 2 suggestions are an option!!! thanks
The problem is it spins to far to be tight, so what your saying but i would have to loosen it to get it square and centered on the console.

I like your thinking on the fighter jet control stick, ive seen someone on this forum do this already but i dont believe it was wired up. I will not be attempting this mod

Im gonna try and remove mine first and put something on the top to stop it from spinning so far, ill keep you posed.

ill let you try it out first!:D

If you do loctite, you would just set it straight, and then once the loctite sets, it would hold tight there. Teflon tape is a good option too though. Mine does the same thing, but is tight enough when it is straight.
