I remember in 1988 I paid $50 to go see Monsters of Rock in Memphis and that was a hell of a lot of money for a 17 year old.

    The line up consisted of:

    Van Halen (Headliner)
    Scorpions
    Dokken
    Metallica
    Kingdom Come

I had to lie to my parent's about where I was going and didn't get home till like 3am and had to sneak back into the house without getting caught. Then I had to get up and go to church like nothing had happened. I was so damn tired. It was a fun concert with the exception of Dokken. Don Dokken was so fucking drunk he couldn't hold the mic. Course I was pretty fucking high at the time so it didn't really matter.

Thanks! And yeah... She is defiantly a good wife. She has put up with a lot from me. Plus she gave me a wonderful daughter so... Yeah... she deserves more than this. But it's a start.

Kingdom Come rocked it! Course they sounded a lot like Led Zeppelin so I loved them back in the day.

Metallica was awesome but that was before I knew Lars was such a prick!

Haha, man that was a good era..
My first concert ever was 1988, Guns N Roses Appetite For Destruction and Motley Crue Girls Girls Girls Tour. It was awesome. Guns opened, Motley Had this huge blow up Harley behind the stage that blew up when they came on and Tommy Lee had a drum set that was inclosed with a chrome roll cage with huge hydraulic arms that lifted him up over the stage and spun while he was drumming.
They'd probably all just got done burying their heads in a mountain of cocaine on top of several hot women a piece and no telling what else.

Doubt you'll see Sambora. The feud still lives from what I've heard recently.

I saw the same concert. Same thing with the drum kit too.

G&R was fucking awesome on that album. Axle Rose "could" have been one of the best front men ever had he not been such a douche. That album is hard to top though.

    Haha awesome!

Yeah true, from what I've heard he's still douching it. He turned down an induction into the Rock N Roll hall of fame with some long ass letter.. Not that a give a crap, but I saw that recently.

F1 is the only racing I'll actually watch. It will piss the Nascar crowd off but the F1 drivers are the best in the world IMO. Plus they drive the coolest shit!
