    Tom,

There are several of us interlopers here - I turned 58 this year and they let me join in the fun and discussion.

Pull up a rocker, grab a beer and enjoy!

Oh, and just one cup holder....but it's a BIG one!!

The dealer called me at work this afternoon and told me he had the new mower on the trailer ready for delivery. I headed home early and met him - he was dropping off the new Husqvarna and taking two old mowers to get rid of....way past time to thin the herd.

I've now got two mowers - the new Husqvarna M-ZT61 and a 2 year old Husqvarna GTH27V52LS. The older one has a powered bagger on it and I use it to pick up grass and leaves.

I spent some time getting used to driving the ZTR - wow! Fast...and I can get myself into trouble quickly!!! It spins on a dime but I have to get used to the finesse of making small movements with the laterals so I don't get off course. On first impression, though, I love it!!

    :wave:Hi Sue, how's everything going?

:rofl::rofl:I don't think he will, but it brings back memories of the:crapstorm::angrygirl::angrygirl::angrygirl::angrygirl: when I mowed half the wife's flower bed cause she hadn't weeded in about a month and I couldn't see where it started or stopped! I hope he practices far away from the house and flower beds until he gets the hang of it.

:D OOPs I've heard those are very sensitive to your movements. I'm sure he'll get the hang of it with no problems.

 feels like bed time... Got about half the back yard cut before dark, rest will be there tomorrow.

Any of you guys know if centipede grass will survive being rototilled?

    exactly

No, I don't want to kill it... I want to make sure it will survive being rototilled and the yard leveled / smoothed out.

Welcome back, Mike! Into the grind again until the next break. I'm not sure why but this year has been tough -even with time off I still feel burned out. I think I need to retire!! :)

You are right about the sensitivity of the mower, Sue. It will take some getting used to - especially at higher speeds. I spent about 30 minutes driving it around our property last evening, looking for tight places, spinning around trees, and just making turns. I'm feeling pretty confident....a sure sign of danger. Also a good reason for the rollover bar. :)

I even had Lynn driving it last night. She did really well for never having driven anything with lateral controls.

But, I'm sure I'll be relating a story or two about running over something. The good news is that the garden is safe! Lynn decided she wanted to move her garden to a series of raised beds. She asked me to help construct the beds but said she would do the rest and had a 3 year plan to get it done. For some reason, my Male Pattern Stupidity was in remission so I realized that I really needed to help and get it done this year. :) We started in early June and loaded the last of the gravel in last weekend. In the meantime, the garden has been growing like crazy. And, if I run anything over now, I'll have to take out the fence along the way!

    First day's start:

Beds done and pea gravel walkways in place:

Fence up and gravel edging finished.
