Are there any skid plate options for the 2nd generation 2wd Tacomas? I'm not trying to achieve a "bad-ass look" or anything, but I'd think it'd be better for any road debris to smack into a skid plate as opposed to the lower part of my engine or frame

I think the Toyota plate, like the one below, only fits 4x4s?

Yeah, I saw the StreeTaco plates. I guess I was hoping for something a little cheaper and perhaps just a stamped plate like the OEM one. I wonder what is on the 4x4's that makes the OEM plate fit them but not the 2wd trucks. Our trucks have those two low-hanging bars that would be pretty easy to mount a plate to, you'd think.

I can make you a aluminum or steel plate, with or without dimple die holes that would bolt to the 2 bars under there. I need to make one and get it up on my website store. For the people who aren't interested in a full skid plate like I've offered for a long time now. This would be a very affordable item to sell and ship. This simple bolt on plate would be as easy as me going to the dealer, getting a couple measurements, coming back and making it.

    These pictured fit 05+ five lug trucks. (except #6, 9 & 10, they're 1st gen 5 lug)

I've sold quite a few over the years.
