some of this, a little of that
15-16 in the city and 19-20 on the highway with 265-75-16. What size are you looking at?

About 15 with 285/75/16, but this is not corrected for the larger tire diameter so it is really a little greater than 15.

A one point we had: an FJ with bfg ATs, Taco with MT MTZs, and a 4Runner with Duratracs.

The BFGs are by far my favorite tire. They are quiet, last forever if taken care of, and they do well off road.

I bet you will enjoy them, despite the minimal mpg loss :)

Lost about 1-2mpg city and maybe 1mpg highway at most over stock tires on both my 2011 DCSB and 2013 DCLB...at stock size...

My city MPG is around 13-15 depending on how often I decide to hear my Magnaflow.

The loss of MPG was worth the gain in performance, looks, and ground clearance. They are awesome tires.

Geeze...what did you get with stock tires?

if it was 18 or so, How did you loose that much? You must really be listening to that exhaust...

I used to live in Jacksonville and thanks to less traffic lights and the highway, I averaged 19-21 combined.

Living in Tallahassee I'm always in traffic and stop lights with almost every trip less than 10 miles. Sucks gas.

I bought my 2012 Double Cab a year ago today (August 8th) and put my 265/70R17 BFG ATs on it from my previous Tacoma along with new Level 8 Guardian wheels. The tires had about 10k miles on them at that point but showed very little wear.

For the last year I've averaged 16.7 with mostly stop and go driving. When it's 90% highway for a trip I've averaged almost exactly 18 mpg. Not great, but acceptable.

With no armor, bed rack or bumper on the truck I was getting 21MPG with my 265/70/17 A/Ts with just a small lift. But then I loaded it up with lots and lots of stuffs and now Im around 18 mpg. BTW I have a 4 banger
