    ha ha ha ha, last night when i was leaving work in unscrewed it and then thought about the idea's proposed yesterday and am going with the fighter jet mod!!!!! then i got home and was about to watch top shot and then realized its not back on till the 15th of august or some shit!!!!:mad: Long story short i didnt put the teflon tape on it or stuff something up in the knob to stop it from screwing down so far.

    Ill keep you posted, tonight ill tinker with it

    Best fix: Go to Home Depot/Lowe's/Ace and get a threaded nut of the same pitch and put that bitch on your post sans shift knob. Thread it all the way to the bottom. Now, put your shift knob on and tighten it until snug then back off so that it's straight. Tight your nut up to the shift knob and you've got a permanent fix and should you ever eff things up again somehow it's a slight adjustment to correct again. Total cost: less than a buck. Problem solved, problem stayin' solved. You're welcome. :cool:
