But to answer my question, have you guys noticed if any particular truck just runs better than another for no reason other than it just does.

I guess saying "racing" was my downfall, it was locked before I could post again to state that I meant the desert or some other legal manner. Oh well.

I'd guess that rangers and S-10's would see large variables in performance based on which day of the week the engine and drivetrain components were manufactured/assembled and also the looser tolerances that they work with being the brands that they are.

No your wrong actually, masturbating is fine here (nobody can see it) but when you bring up racing, now thats stirring up a hornets nest!
Now try masturbating on camera while talking about racing, thats takin it to a whole new level. :p

Yeah mine seems to EASILY outrun other Tacomas, and most Corvettes too for some reason??

:woot: I just found out I only have to have a associates degree to get the job I want, bad part is I have to be 21.
So I'm thinking I might take courses to get my assc. In mechanics, get a job and work on my other degree while I have a job.

Harbor frieght tools are hit or miss, S-10s and ranger would fall into that category. Thats why my buddy gave me his 302 for the werc out of his wrecked exploder. it ran better than my factory motor hands down.

An entire 4 minutes away? That's just plain ridiculous. I mean, 1-2 minutes is reasonable, 2-3 minutes is stretching it, but 4 minutes? That's right out.

Yeah. Its between a 285/305 and a 315. I like em because you get most of the height but you don't have to turn the mass of the 12.50. And they won't rub if you have that issue or are close.

With a fourbanger, it would be my first choice. Power and truck weight. A 35 finds alot a grooves on/offroad and is alot of weight bouncing around.

Yeah I see what ya did Gary, tho' i think your thread was innocent enough, it should've been refferenced as a "closed course" /race track thing, you know how it rolls here wouldn't be long before some members here would escalate it into a lock anyway, I will say that my brother's
s-10 with the 4.3 is a rocket, that thing hauls ass !!;)

That IS a wierd anomally but is common i think

I think the "racing" isn't the problem , like mentioned if it were clear from the start that it was under a controlled racing environment it'd been fine.

Couple years ago I was almost banned for posting up a pic of my speedometer on the century mark ( i was going up the I-8 from Puetz valley to the Tavern rd exit)
