What size tire?

I'm getting my OME this Monday and have the TRD rims and was curious what size tire I can fit while sticking to those rims? I feel comfortable doing just basic trimming and I plan on getting Duratracs.

 

285/75/16. Plan on doing a cab mount chop tho

 

Is there anything negative about doing a cab mount chop? Sorry not to savvy on this stuff. Also about how much does it cost?

 

If you have the tools to cut it and a welder, free. If you don't, make friends with someone who does and bring a six pack

Ya I have the tx pro and thanks for the info I appreciate it. Ill have to see how wimpy it looks with the stock tires and if I can use them until they're down more. Or ill just get new ones

Wait, I think you meant you have the OEM suspension, right? Stock right height? OME means something ENTIRELY different in this community as it's an aftermarket suspension setup.

 

You're right. My bad. Usually I don't let the dyslexia affect my daily life.

So stock suspension, stock wheels and no problems with the mud flaps then, huh?

 

I have the same setup as Doording, except I have my Fox MT lift installed at 2.5", and I still rubbed on my front mud flaps. Had to trim off that hump.

Damn. Forgot about those. I do have the superbumps installed upfront tho. Thinking of building something trick for the rear. I meant to pm you about those ideas too.

I have 265/70-17 with my OME lift. I think it still looks OK and no need to worry about trimming or cutting.
