Keep shopping you can get a complete set of stockers on wheels rather cheap, or go around buying spares like i did a year ago and piece a set together. depending on how much you use the MT they may dry rot before they are spent, get out and use them

Eric if you want that bumper's paint to last with very little maintenance I highly suggest powder coating it. I do it with just about everything. It give it a great base for future touch up paint to adhere to. Test fit that winch to make sure you are not needing custom holes drilled first then PC. You won't regret it. I know a great guy down here in Denver if you need a place.

    Eric,

If you have access to a plasma cutter, make the hole for the winch line bigger before you mount it. I have Tylers bumper on my '12 and the hole is about 3/4" too short and is tearing up my synthetic line. Even with a fairlead on the front it still rubs on the inside of the bumper.

Well, I was definitely thinking paint. It just seemed easier to touch up to match.
Also, I definitely don't want a gloss black powder coat.

Can they do a flat black powder coat? Any idea what it would cost to do the bumper?

What winch are you running? can you measure the slot width on yours so I can compare it to mine?

My dimensions are 7.75" x 1.25". The height is the issue. I'm going to cut it this weekend to 1.75". Mount your fairlead before you put your bumper on and you can see the issue, there is about .25" of bumper that overlaps the fairlead "gap".

Certainly appreciate the heads up. I'll check it out for sure.
    I'm guessing you're using a hawse(sp?) fairlead?

I don't know that a plasma is going to get it on this one, the plate's doubled up in that area.

Yes, running the hawse that came in the box. That's a good point about the plate, I'm going to give mine a go this weekend with my baby hobart 500i. I'm going to try and do it mounted, such a pain to take it off.

The guy I go to does down to 20% gloss which is pretty much satin. So I use Satin to touch up. If you are doing it black and need to touch it up I just do a section so the touch up blends. Every couple of years I give whole thing a light sand and light coat of touch up. The Powder Coat is awesome for a base at that point.
Got a pic of your issue? Also does your line roll off the winch drum from the top or from the bottom?

I recently had to install a Hawse fairlead for a guy with an ARB. The winch holes line up perfect for a roller lead but it did the same thing with his Hawse. I was able to just get a cut off wheel in there and remove the extra plate. You might try that.
