I am confused? The link to the Toyota website lets you compare tacoma specs, and it shows that my 09 4x4 2.7L Accesscab should have the same 4.10 ratio as the Prerunner. But my axle code on the door ID sticker states my axle code is A02A, which according to several off raod sites is the 7.5" 3.58 open rear diff? Same as what the 2wd non-prerunner hould have. I am curious if any one has looked into thier axle codes and know what the ratio is on theyre truck? Id like to compare V6's versus 4 bangers, versus prerunners vs non prerunners ETC...Thanks!

If you have a Prerunner/4x4 with the V6, you have an 3:73 ratio
If you have a Prerunner/4x4 with the 2.7, you have an 4:10 ratio

Hmm I'm curious to know what the 4cyl 4x4s have as well. 3.58 doesn't sound like enough gear

Did you read the post above yours???
    The 2.7's have a 4:10 ratio, on the 4x4's and PRerunners's.

What's a good gear ratio for running 285/75/16?
    On a 08 prerunner V6

I found that when I re geared (one example is going from 30" tires and 3:55 gears, to 32" tires and 4:10's) my mpg improved by 2 mpg. Power was returned to stock, or better. :)

I'm confused too. According to my door jam sticker I have code A02A which is a 3.58 ratio. According to Toyota's website in 2008, the only ratio available in a 2.7 4x4 is 4.10. What gives?
