Sounds like you got a bad batch. My bodies are pretty much brown at this point lol, but the shafts are still sparkly clean.

Im in the market for a fuel cell in the next 2 months. Still trying to figure out which factory components I can retain and what components I need to buy after market. I want my factory fuel gauge to work and that's about it. I want to be able to have all the parts ready at once and not have my truck down for weeks figuring out what I need and dont need.

Aaron, were building the set up for my cell next week. Factory pump and everything mated into a 32g Jaz cell. I'll be saving the files. All the OEM Evap stuff will plug back in too and the fuel gauge will work. You will have to open up the filler neck hole from a circle to an oval but you can order your cell and bladder blank from Jaz. I'll text you as we get started on it.

I would definitely be interested .. SMOG legal is the only reason I wasn't going to do a cell

I'm dropping my cell off tonight and I just got off the phone with my buddy whos doing the fuel system. Were going to do a run of 5 right now, no idea on price as of yet but the filler neck will be 2 sided and fixed to the plate. The only thing I need to figure out is weather or not the OEM pump will seal properly by sandwiching lip between the top and bottom plates (like factory) by bolting it all together or if it needs to be welded. If it needs to be welded you guys will have to find someone local who can TIG aluminum.
