The things required to pull bitches
I usually find what ever is the cheapest on slick guns. 90 for 440 is the average price.
I'm in the same boat. Not ready to buy a nice rifle yet I want to learn and practice before I start shooting the expensive 30 caliber ammo.

Don't forget a .22 pistol (assuming yours is rifle), my .22 pistol gets shot more than anything else except lately...can't find the ammo easily and ruger mkIII with 4 mags tends to make my ammo disappear.

Damn... Well that's good to know, thank you sir!

They seem like it! Unfortunately, they're pricey also. I'll get one eventually, I absolutely love that gun!

Your assumption would be incorrect :D I have a Ruger SR22 that I got early this year and I love shooting it. My dad has the MKIII and I enjoyed shooting it so I decided to stick with Ruger and just as I made up my mind on brand, a local store advertised a new shipment of SR22's had arrived. It definitely eats through ammo in a hurry, but it hasn't been out in a while now because I've been having a hard time finding .22lr locally.

Easy solution for the .22 ammo shortage, buy a single action revolver, takes longer to use the ammo (aka another excuse to get something new...that's the excuse I used on my winchester 67).

And the M1s are not too bad if you get hem through the CMP...or at least it is a lot cheaper than getting them anywhere else that I have seen

I want to get a suppressor, hopefully next summer....in thinking a hunter town arms .223 suppressor, it's user serviceable (easily). I can also put it on my 17 hmr...I think it will be too big for a ruger mkIII though, maybe not though

The hi-standard semi-auto's are great guns and extremely accurate. It took me a while to find out which ammo mine liked, what does yours prefer? I've found that the CCI Subsonic runs perfectly through mine.

The ones I have aren't picky on the ammo. The hard part is the magazines. I'll get malfunctions on the last couple rounds from a couple of my mags. The mags aren't easy to find so I just deal with it.

Just bought a Mosin! It's covered in cosmoline but should clean up nicely. Unfortunately, stupid MA BS so I can't pick it up until tomorrow but I'll get pictures up once it's at least wiped off.

Thanks! Took almost 6 hours, a whole roll of paper towels, a whole bunch of shop rags, half a bottle of Windex, about a quart of mineral spirits and then all the usual gun cleaners and oils once the heavy stuff was off. I'll bet I'm going to smell like cosmoline for a week

I'm impressed how well it cleaned up. It shows it's age a little bit but overall is in great shape! Hopefully I'll get to see how it shoots sometime soon, gotta locate some ammo first.

I'll bet that it still bleeds cosmoline when you fire it and it gets hot. Mine was cleaned very well and still bled when I got it got lol

And I learned a key reloading lesson today, always check for verdant priming, in any caliber....I thought all my 30-06 brass was boxer primed...it wasn't, so I've got a broken pin to replace

I'll bet it'll bleed cosmoline just sitting in the truck on a hot day, haha. I wiped and wiped until the cloth no longer came thru yellow but I know the first time it gets warm it'll bleed like a stuck pig. My wife did threaten me within an inch of my life if she ever came home and found the stock in the oven :anonymous:
