So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Moved Ultra Gauge and installed Phone Dock. Need to pick up power someplace under dash.
Can someone tell me where they tapped into 12v on with ign ?

I plan to install a cig lighter plug with two USB ports behind the dash someplace.

Hello I have an 01 tacoma and have a quick question if any one could answer thank you! So I wanted to make my turn signals into fog lights and make my parking lights in the corner my turn signals... So I changed the wiring to make that possible so it works great but one thing. My turn signals blink really fast I know it's cause it's not enough power or something but is there a way around that and to fix it? Thank you much appreciated

I think the speed is determined by the flasher unit. different rates depending on current. you may have to try a few.

Yeah, i believe that the '12 and 13' tacos, and probably the '14 too have to turn the buzzer off in the computer, if you look around a bit i remember seeing a thread showing where to get the cable and the software to DIY

Why? Genuinely curious no being asinine. A bunch of my work trucks that I drive do it and I hate it if someone needs to jump out and check a trailer or get something out of the back or anything its locked and gets on my nerves.

Ditto... or if people are getting into the van, my boss is a bit quick on the shifter and he's always locking people out.

And IMHO, unlocking automatically when parked is not safe.
There's a reason that every door other than the driver's door on every one of my vehicles is always locked.

I liked the way it worked on my MINI - doors locked when you got up to like 10 mph. Could be turned off in the car settings.

Like having the doors locked, but don't usually think about doing it. I'm a fan of the auto lock feature.

what then would you do if you leave your keys in the truck? the old credit card to pop the clasp on the rear window is my saving grace. The crackheads around here just smash the windows if they want to get in..

^^^ best thing you can do is cut it to size and use zip tie to put it together.

Thanks, I'll do that then, damn, was hoping for a nice clean install, but oh well. My dad wants a grille and found one while we were there, but decided to wait, so at least I get a chance to do it right the second time.....
