:notsure: Don't even know what to say on this one. Just amazed someone would pay that much for a truck and beat the crap out of it right away.

Thats pretty funny too. Plasti dip isnt very cheap but its cheaper then a new paintjob! And its super easu to touch up after scratches. Its done better so far on the bed its got 5 coats but the cab only has 3 so im redoing it. And its done now had the whole front end repaired and repainted with oem parts, the only thing I have to do is run the new wiring harness for my rigid light as the old one was different wiring. And re do the plasti dip on the cab. I left thw roof white because Its amazing how much cooler it stays in The summer!

How do you know he beats the truck up? Because he got into an accident? Because its dirty? Because he plasti dipped the sides? None of you havent gotten your truck dirty?

    +1

Lot of threads of trucks actually getting shit beat on purpose and everybody high fives each other. I guess it's real different when you do it on accident and you aren't one of the TW cool kids.

I use my truck as a truck but I do not abuse it since it is my daily driver. And to be honest you should not plastidip your truck but rather bed line the whole thing top to bottom

I almost had my 2008 linex'd top to bottom... butt

plasti dip peels off so if and when I want to change the color or sell it the factory paint is fresh and pretty underneath!

ok here is some more info for you to enjoy or hate :)

the 81 is the one I beat the death out of!
the pic in the windshield is my beltronics rx75 pro ultimate (leftover from sports car stupid days lol)
the 06 4runner is the other family daily driver
the white spot on the flare that attaches to the bumper is where I started taking the plasti dip off to redo it, you can also see where its worn off at the door jamb
the new tires are in the bed, its getting mounted and balanced as I type
and the odometer shows 6k miles with change and the scan gauge I use to monitor the vital signs and get the best mpg while towing the trailers.

So who is wrong? The owner of a truck that isn't yours or your expectations of other peoples vehicle?

Looks like you need mostly the same parts that I did (plus a few).
I had a guy clip my front bumper with his back bumper while pulling by (I was parked). Pulled the bumper forward, which pulled the grille forward, which is attached to the headlights.

    New bumper skin
    New fender flare
New fender flare extension (the piece on the bumper)
    2 new headlights
    Repair dent on fender
    Paint
    I was over $4200.
And really, after I had spent 20 minutes pulling everything back in place, and a dozen zip ties later, all you could see was a small dent and a couple scratches.

Add on the rad supports and cross member you mentioned and the labour involved, your over 6K.

And don't let them give you too much shit for the Plasti-derp. Great way to protect the factory paint when you know you're going to use it hard.

I can elaborate on that! The roof is going to be derped a light color or clear. I opted out of going all black because its crazy how much cooler the white stays in the sun and I dont like being hot. Im not really a huge fan of the white and black but they dont make the two factory colors I want anymore (speedway blue or blaze red) so I got white. Then after I noticed how much cooled it was in the sun I decided to keep it light. Plasti dip has a bright blue, red, and green color and I have been thinking of one of them but im leaning towards clear or white so its not too bright and pastel.. and I decided on the plasti dip because even after a full wetsand and buff ans touch ups my 2008 in indigo ink paint was wayy scratched. My 2012 had a few that buffed out but I plan to keep this one for a long time and I can dip the whole truck for $150 as many times as I feel like or need versus paying 3k plus to repaint it to sell it. Its not bed liner tough but its completely reversible :)

    Working on it
I mushed a whitetail with mine, replaced major parts were:

Lower bumper cover with grill (painted)
    Driver side headlight with mounts
    Driver side foglight
    Driver flare
    Driver flare extension
    Driver fender
    Driver headlight trim piece
    Driver inner fender liner

There were of course also a bunch of clips and shit that nickle and dimed it.

After painting and blending etc it was a $3400 repair

Edit: voted 6-7, would probably revise to 5-6 on further thought.
