Engine block Bolt torque specs anyone?

Hey guys
About to tackle this project:

Belt-Driven-Air-Compressor-a.k.a.-Unlimited-On-Board-Air

My question is
Does anyone know the max torque I can crank down the bolts into the engine block?
The bolts are gonna have to secure a compressor into the serpentine belt loop and will need to be as tight as possible
But
If i over torque & bust a bolt/threaded hole in my engine block I'm gonna take a long walk off a short bridge.

If I can remember I will look up some specs for you. A lot depends on:

• Grade of the bolt
• thread pitch (coarse or fine thread)
• diameter of the bolt (not the bolt head, but the threaded portion)
• depth of the threaded hole

Just don't know where to look!
