Oh ok, I understand now. The bumper is mounted to the frame which moves independantly from the body (to a point). The frame is actually flexing and the bumper just allows you to see it. The gap can be adjusted, but if you adjust it too close the bumper will hit the body panels/flares.

I would definitely check all the bolts too, but I don't trust other peoples work. Better check and be safe then get screwed.

Woops.... I just realize that I hijacked the thread. Thought it was my ARB thread. Oh well, I got my questions answered anyways haha.

In regards to the meet. I will be gone the first weekend. The second weekend in Sept works well for me. Does anyone know of any offroading clubs in the area? Tacoma offroad organizations would be better :D

Nc4x4 has a group for wake county but they weren't too active from what I saw.

We have a Facebook group called Daily Driver Off-Roaders that has several members in the Raleigh area. We schedule rides regularly to Uwharrie, Gulches, Windrock, Richland Rd, etc. Not a Tacoma specific club, although quite a few of 'em - but open to all makes/models as long as they aren't trail rigs.
