    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
Lotta factors can affect deltas in boost psi, even the guage itself you gotta take with a grain of salt.

I'm rock solid 5 maybe a tick over depending on conditions. I'm damn near sea level out here.

Np man! I'll try to get some rolling footage sometime!

Keep me updated on the route you take for your exhaust ;)

pegged at 10.0 afr probably because the gauge isnt able to read lower than that, so potentially in the 9s or richer! until you do the 2.8 pulley id say go back to the stock configuration for the fuel pressure regulator mod. even after the pulley ill bet your afr will perfect with the stock configuration.

i gotta say, love the build! i need to get me a wideband still, how do you like that innovative? ive bought PLX before and was planning to again but thats a nice gauge.

Hence the piggy rich comment lol.

I will not revert to stock on the FPR mod since it would be pointless with the the pulley install happening next weekend. Even without this mod done, sc'd Tacomas still peg rich AFR's given the same mods.....and that's where I've put the "T" off for my boost readings.

Thanks, I have no problems with the Innovative thus far. Easy to calibrate and easy to install. No BS gauge. My kind of gauge. I don't need fancy digital screens, I just need a number.

One thing I will recommend is to add a 5 amp fuse(and fuse holder of course) in line on the power wire just to be safe---I find it odd Innovative didn't fuse their power wire. A 3 amp fuse will not be enough as the heater built into the afr sensor needs a little more power.

AEM makes a decent wideband, but I prefer Innovative. I like their stuff better.

Yeah I won't be undoing the fpr mod either....... But I am curious how we look with the 2.85.

I'm good with the afr as long as its not due to a high IDC.

    I trust the xru guys.

running with a 9:1 afr is not only holding back your power but also not the healthiest thing. being too rich will wash out the cylinders and cause premature wear and ultimitely lead to more problems. of course, this is only when you actually are in WOT situations. ideally you want to be around 12.5 but most will safely tune for 11.5-12. my brothers 12' trd s/c is running at 11:1 without the fpr mod, just to shed some light on where you guys stand. the trd reflash runs really rich on its own, so id say save the fpr mod for more boost.

anyway, cant wait to see the 2.8 results!

Friend who sold his Xrunner(2011) same mods as me with w/o FPR mod & stock pulley still hit 10.2 on his AEM wideband. His friend had the same setup in a '12 TRD OR but with short tube headers and was still sub 11 AFR's.

From what I've learned at XRU forums, I've noted a few things(damn near direct quotes I wish I saved the threads where I noted this stuff to give credit)....

In the factory setting for the FPR vacuum line, it won't hurt anything, nor will it *DO* anything except leave the fuel pressure at a static 43.5 psi. IMO, it would be smart to have the ecu dial fuel based on boost. Read: safer.

Running it from the s/c port onto the FPR on the stock pulley wont hurt anything either, but it will increase the fuel pressure approximately 1:1 with each pound of boost from the s/c, over atmosphere. To me, again, that's being SAFE.

I am not new to forced induction....my STi went untuned for 4 months with a generic flash pegging rich AFR's until it was dyno tuned. Adverse affects of running too rich don't worry me. ONE WEEK MORE of sub-10 afr's(at wot) is not enough to warrant the need for me to revert back to stock, and go on a hunt for more random vacuum line.

Either way, the pulley is getting done next weekend, so as stated earlier, the truck stays in tact. Stay Tuned. ;)

Mission RASP SLAYER was 100% successful today. :D

Had a Vibrant Performance Ultra Quiet resonator(#1142 3" inlet/outlet) welded in today.

Rasp is GONE! Even cut the little cabin drone I had @ 2500 in half if not more! Very happy with this, and all you hear are the deep tones now. At WOT, the truck bellows nice and deep without any sloppy rifling sound. Highly recommend the Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator to those with DTLT's who hate the rasp.

I apologize for the sound being 'blown out'...I guess my phone was sitting closer than my previous videos. Trust me, rasp is gone! :D

Well, today pretty much marks the end of my powetrain mods.....installed the 2.85 URD Stealth pulley today.

    HOLLYYYYYY SHATTTTTT.

TRD s/c has definitely woken up, and the truck has absolutely wicked top end now. Gotta remember this is still a midsize pickup lol....things this big should not be this quick haha.

URD rates the 2.85 stealth pulley: "The normal increase in boost is 1.5-2 PSI over the stock pulley with normal power gains of 15-30 HP depending on combination and ambient conditions."

....and I can definitely confirm both in bold are true, well, butt dyno kinda confirms the second part. ;)

Boost peak is NOW 7psi at redline(peak was 5 psi before pulley) and AFR's at WOT have leaned out a little to 10.5-10.6. Truck runs good. I'm very happy with the added power. Low end power is more wicked now too. It's perfect!

Install was kind of a PITA only because we couldn't immediately find a puller that had jaws that were thin enough to get behind the pulley to extract the stock one.

Pressing the new one on wasn't too bad, just make sure you boil it long enough and crank that sucker on as fast as you can. Getting a good grip on the pulley to prevent it from spinning while you press it on is KEY!

Anyway, here's a picture of the new pulley----you would never guess you've added 15-30hp by looks thats for sure lol:

    7102013131951_zps2985a634_3658eb6abad5a08f0eb32ddac687dd7392026074.jpg

The only remaining powertrain mod I have to put on is my URD cooler thermostat upgrade kit thats been sitting in my garage. Nothing really exciting there though. :p

You're a bad influence haha. I'm at a good stopping point with the power lol. Wayyy more than I could ever imagine from a midsize pickup. Time to get crackin on my midtravel suspension build! ;)

I LOVE it. Glad I made it one of my first big mods on this truck.
