I am taking it off to paint and plasti-dip my valance but the allen key isn't cutting it. I don't want to strip the heads on the front screws but they won't break loose. I am just curious if there is another solution to loosen them up, if not guess i can't do this tonight :(

Allen socket on a long handle 1/2 inch if possible would prolly be your best bet

It is the right size allen and i tried it on a socket with an extension as well, pretty sure whoever took them off last butchered the heads.. so basically i'd have to cut them off and put new ones in?

Are you talking about the stock skid plate? If so then you dont need to remove that Allen bolt. Just remove the four 12mm or 14mm. Forgot the exact size.

There are only 2 bolts in the bottom and the allen screws are holding the front of it in, how do I not have to remove them?

My stock TRD skidplate has 4 12mm head bolts holding it in also. Maybe the previous owner of your truck put allens there for whatever reason?

If you have access to a welder, weld nuts to what remains of the bolts, then spin them out. The heat from welding will help free them up if they're seized too.

I highly doubt they replaced the hex-bolts with allens.

4 bolts, leave the allen heads alone. . . I promise
