Before I did that I think I would just get those black ones. I really like the style of those wheels. Not a super big fan of the stock OR wheels but they're not terrible. I don't like them black though as the silver color shows off the various changes in topography that makes them look better. You lose the shadows when you derp them and they don't look as good IMO. That same could be said about those FJ wheels too as you lose some of the style from the black and I think they look better in lighter colors, especially the anthracite.

Yes the anthracite wheels are sick. But I like black.

I do too I'm just not sure I'm ready to go all black w/black tires again. Here's my Supra after I had the wheels powder coated gloss black. I liked it but they looked a bit 'heavy' w/o a beauty ring to separate the wheel from the tire:

    SupraMay_05_0335e5c4618209672c3d6893f7cfc7204c3f0dc1.jpg

Now, here's that same wheel in the stock finish at a slight angle so you can see the complexity of the angles and such. The black looks cool but some of the design of the wheel itself is lost which would be a similar comparison to the black FJ wheels:

OST what size tire you want? You might have to get some spacers if you run 285 on a factory rim. Just something to keep in mind. Personally I like the bronze TX wheels.

I think I've settled on 265/75r16 Duratracs. From what I've read this would be no problem on the stock wheel with stock ride height and has the added bonus of make the speedometer more accurate than stock tire size. I read that some were also able to run those 285's on the FJ or TX offset with slight lifts and even one guy said he was running them on stock suspension. I've got TSB rear & 1.75" up front on my 5100's and have considered going up more but if I can get the FJ or TX wheels and some 265/75r16's with my current setup I think I would be happiest. Any higher and I'm going to be changing quite a few things and I'm just not sure I need it. These tires will give me another inch or so total ride height and will look much more aggressive which will likely be good enough for me. I've pretty much decided I'm not going to be doing aggressive offroading so I don't really need tons of clearance.

That's cool. Yeah wasn't sure how big you were going and I know that Noah is running 285's on his TX Pros with no spacers. I was just thinking if you put 285 duratracs on your stock rims.

Not that you have a need for it but I just saw on FB that CBI (I think) or Serria Expeditions is converting TX Pro wheels into true bead lock rims now. If I could find me a set of those bronze ones for a good price I would convert them to beadlocks and rock em.

I hate to do this but what's everyone's opinion of this invisible bumper on a Super White Tacoma? I generally people to make up their own minds with what THEY like but I'm on the fence with this. It's not my first choice but can be had rather inexpensively and I like OEM quality. Another option is just keeping the stock bumper and slapping some plastidip on it too. Either way, I'm hoping to do something sooner rather than later. Need a bumper I can trust when the white stuff starts falling.

For what it's worth, Ost... a buddy of mine is running those tires, those size on his stockers. When he lifted with the adjustable bilstiens, he's rubbing on the UCA at full lock.

Well in the absence of any input, I decided to go with this bumper.

It's hanging on there anyway... Still needs to be adjusted, shimmed, wheel well liners trimmed, etc. But that can all wait until tomorrow.

Depends on what kind of riding you want to do...

Cruising on the Harley, railing canyons on the DRZ supermoto, railing the track on the 450r supermoto, or getting dirty on the 450x.
There's three other bikes in there too, but they're small (Ninjette 250, XR100, and XR50)

I kinda dig two wheels :D

Picked up this nice ass Yakima cargo basket for FREE at work today... Somebody left it in their storage unit after they moved out. Gonna throw it over the bed at some point.
