Impression thus far is only based on sight and feel, with no real use, but I am pleased with the purchase from that standpoint. They are a TJM product and made in Australia, same as the maxtrax, from ARB. (this is unlike the smittybilts, made in china)

It looks like they've covered all of the bases. there are traction "lugs" on the top and bottom, so they grip the ground and your tires, and don't just shoot out the back an spear the camera man. they have a very deep design, with a single ramp probably being about 3+'' thick. this gives them a ton of strength and rigidity for how light they are (they are very light).

However, (this is the important part) they are definitely a traction aid only. if you are looking for something to be used as a bridging ladder, this is not the product. if you were to support the ends and load the center with your truck, i guarantee you'll break one. if not the first time, you'll fatigue them and break them sooner than later.

Yea didn't expect much for bridging, but mud, sand, and snow extraction is exactly what I need.

Again, without having used then yet, these should be a great way to go. Lifetime warranty too, so as long as you use them properly, they'll replace them if they brake. Arb doesn't even offer that with theirs.

i just got a pair of ratchet straps. they are the spring loaded retractable kind, so there is no tail to the strap hanging out, flapping in the wind. there's a nice grove down the center, so with the ratchet cranked down, there is zero movement, even at highway speeds.

may build a quick release pin or lever setup to lock them in, but without a welder at the moment, straps it is. they work so well though, i may just keep it like this.

i actually picked up one of those when i picked up the dremel. great little mini endmill. I've just never used the pointed one before. it's great for enlarging small holes, that would otherwise blow right through a stone bit.
